I haven't played sims2 since I installed Bon Voyage and played it a few time when it first came out. I decided I would get back into the game by continuing my deleting of stuff I didn't want any more. I am doing this all in game. When I went into CAS/Bodyshop in the game, I couldn't delete any make-up. I can delete anything else just not make up. All the catergories in make up I can't delete from. How Do I fix this? I have done the 50/50 method, removed my downloads. I haven't patched the game yet and I refuse to reinstall. It takes too long. Other wise the game runs sweetly. I currently have around 2.5gig of downloads. My specs are: AMD dual core 3.2ghz x1600x radeon pro 512mb motherboard? 160gig hardrive windows xp sp2. Home edition. Thanks! |

I believe that's a known bug with Bon Voyage - deleting should still work in the external Body Shop program, and it actually deletes a lot faster in there than in-game anyway. Might be worth flipping through your makeup in-game to make sure you know which ones you want to delete (since it has better lighting), then go into Body Shop to do the actual deletion afterward. |

Thanks HystericalParoxysm for your quick response! I will do that! I just simply have too many downloads. If I can get it down a little bit more than 2.5 gig I will be very happy! Also I have off topic question, if I delete a custom object in game, does all the recolours that come with it, get deleted aswell? Thanks! |

No, recolours will not get deleted as well. You can put the object on your lot, then use the design tool to click on it like you want to change its colour, and delete the recolours one by one in there (you can't delete 'em straight from the catalog - there's a bug with that too) or you can just delete the object, then run Delphy's Download Organiser and have it scan for orphans and then remove any orphaned recolours.

Ah nuts! I deleted a whole bunch of custom objects in game without using the design tool. I will download delphy's Download organiser now. Thanks! I used Delphy's Download Manager and deleted 3000 orphaned files. I still have the make up to go through. Thanks for recommending the program. I am now down to 2.8 gig of downloads. I mentioned in my first post that I had 2.5gig of downloads when in fact it was 3.5gig. So by using Delphy's program I deleted 700mb of junk! |

Have you made some custom content?
