I have a Windows Vista, 2GB Ram and a 256MB Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT.
This problem looks like one that has already been posted, but it's different. Everytime I try to record a video, I get a message:
"No valid codec was found to compress video. Please see the Readme.txt for instructions on how to install or specify a different video codec. Video quality will be set to uncompressed."

I want to CHANGE the codec, from this one that comes with TS2 to DivX (it's already installed). The .INI file is:

[Config]
PreferredCodec=VP61
# Folder is relative to Res/Userdata
Folder=Movies
FilenameBase=movie
NoFillFrames=0
AudioStereoOutput=0
AudioRateDivisor=4

GlobalSettings = reset, vbr:1, fps:10, keyinterval:30, mode:1, datarate:0
SmallSettings = size: 128x128
MediumSettings = size: 320x240
LargeSettings = size: 640x480
LowQualitySettings = minq: 6, maxq: 16, mode:0
MediumQualitySettings = minq: 4, maxq: 10, fps:15, mode:0
HighQualitySettings = minq: 2, maxq: 8, fps: 30, keyinterval: 60
SmallLowSettings = datarate: 75
SmallMediumSettings = datarate: 150
SmallHighSettings = datarate: 300
MediumLowSettings = datarate: 150
MediumMediumSettings = datarate: 300
MediumHighSettings = datarate: 600
LargeLowSettings = datarate: 300
LargeMediumSettings = datarate: 600
LargeHighSettings = datarate: 1200

AllowAntialiasing=0 # some drivers have issues with capture when AA is enabled

[Codecs]
0=VP70 # On2 VP7.0
1=VP61 # On2 VP6.1
2=VP62 # On2 VP6.2
3=VP60 # On2 VP6.0

What must I change? I know it's in "PrefferedCodec" and "[Codecs]", but WHAT? Can someone PLEASE help me?
Many thanx in advance!

Well, first off, TS2 doesn't come with a codec. If you want to install a new codec, just run the codec installer.

That's the codec I'm talking about.

I already installed DivX - the codec I want to use - but what should I change in the .INI file to make it recognizes it as the codec I want to use?
