I have had Sims 2 Deluxe for a while now. Adding custom content is something I had been doing for a while and then I got the Sims 2 University. I kept adding content and everything seemed fine. I haven't had any problems with instaltion of an expansion and custom content errors. All Custom content has been working fine, aside the items that needed meshes ( thank you Modthesims2.com for showing me that.) The one thing that I cant find the answer to on this site is why is >only< the "Objects" and some "Recolors" custom content is not working?
>All< objects such as; Winding staircase, Xbox 360, Plasma screen t.v., coffe table, and windows that I had in a dorm room on my campus have all been reverted to Maxis original objects and ??flashing blue??

>>All of this sims' custom clothes, hair and facial body shop stuff is working fine with no glitches.<<

The only thing that I guessed was the problem is that I saved the game on an error or something. Like I said I tried to use the website to help but this is an unusual problem that I cant figure out.

Eternaly greatful to anyone who can figure this one out!

My theory is that the files were improperly extracted by your un-zipprogram. Have you tried re downloading them? You may have deleted the files that it need to work, also, the items you have download may not be compatible with what ep/sp that you have installed. Try using q express and if it does't work on your computer then, download regularly and then extract each files AS SOON AS you download it to make sure here wasn't an error in the download, this happenes to e all the time. Double check before you download and this help prevent this problem. I hope I helped!

Flashing blue objects reverting to the original object can be caused by a couple of things. Primarily not having the necessary mesh and/or not having CEP installed. Try the Game Help Wizard here third option down. This will walk you through some steps that should help.

Please let us know how it goes or if you have any questions along the way. :)

OK I feel stupid... It was a compound problem. A little bit before I posted this, I folowed something that told me to disable custom content in the game options under something that said disabled diaoloug custom content by clicking the off button. This is the boxed out area with the linked custom content symbal. I kept that on because it helped make the objects look a little bit more like the items that the were. I soon relize that all items "objects" were gone "not working" and that all other custom content was workng. So I went back into the options box for no reason and decided to click the on button "which enabled all of the content again." I don't know why it all went fowl in thefirst place, but now its enabled and fixed ( this explains the box in the begining that asks you if you want to enable/disable custom content not showing up. )

I am so greatful to you guys trying to help... thanks for your time...

The new kid...
