Hi, I'm very good at designing things, but not very good with technical things. I want to get into designing sims objects and clothes however I thought I'd take a look at other people objects. (Any old excuse to download some of the amazing things on this website!) However the computer I play the sims on doesnt have the internet on, obviously this one does! I was wandering if there is a way I can download things onto my USB memory stick and then put it onto my computer. I was also wondering if I could do the same with SimPE, Because as I said I want to start creating things. Thanks very Much Meg |

Yes, you can - just stick your USB pen into a USB port on your internet computer, highlight all your downloads (or chuck them all into a folder), right click and choose send to -> what ever the name of your USB pendrive is. Then just use the icon bottom right on your taskbar thats a green arrow, select it and disconnect your USB pen, then take it out of the USB port and put it into a USB port on your sims computer and drag all the downloads etc onto the desktop, and everything will work. |

Can I do the same for Q-Xpress? Or will it not work because I need to download the custom content first?? |

The Q-Xpress will unrar the downloads and dump them in My Docs/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads. If you don't have TS2 on your internet computer, it's pretty useless. ![]() And regarding SimPE - yep, you can just put the installer onto your USB and move it across like anything else. But, if you start making objects, you'll need to use your internet computer to register GUIDs with the SimPE database. |

Feeling like a bit of a chat about creation or just... whatever (not necessarily sims)?
