I understand the whole Clean Installer thing and have read through all of the guides and things. i know now all about meshes and things, but what i still don't understand is that when i want to install things like clothes it comes up with a message saying that it can not be installed. can anyone tell me why?
when i unzip with WinRAR it comes up with a blue ish symbol which goes in fine, but with clothes files it comes up with the symbol for a paint file. i;ve tried installing them with Clean Installer and with the bodyshop installer but they still don't work, is there anything else i need to install them? can anyone help me? i'm dying for new clothes and hair for my sims!

I don't think you've gone through the FAQs very thoroughly or you would know what -type- of file they are rather than the symbols they use. You also don't use Clean Installer or the Body Shop installer to install .package files (which clothes and hair will be).

Locked as this is not a Clean Installer issue.
