Heres a video of the glitch.
I don't really know everyone else with the glitch but what is wrong?
I've used other 3d games and they work just fine, the only game that that happens to is the Sims 2.

Dear Charliona,

Thank you for posting in the MTS2 Help section. In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following steps as listed below:

This is NOT multiple choice! You must read and go through ALL the FAQs!
  • General - Do the Game Problem FAQ
You appear to have not gone through our main Game Help:Game Problemwiki FAQ. Please go through and do the steps on this FAQ, including any others that it links to (for example the Game Help:Game Problem-Problem Custom Contentwiki FAQ).

Usually, in the vast majority of cases, actually going through and doing the steps (doing, not just reading) fixes issues - sometimes you may be asked to remove custom content, or to patch - please rest assured that all of our FAQs have been tested by our staff and volunteers and we wouldn't suggest you do something unless it's been known to fix particular issues.

  • General - Post System Specs
We need more information before we can help with your issue. Please post your system specs - instructions on finding them are here: Game Help:System Specswiki

Please read through all of the FAQs above! Doing only one or two of them (when more exist) will usually result in delays not fixing your particular problem.

On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detail exactly which you have done and which steps failed.

Regards,
MTS2 Staff

I have gone through the FAQS.
And nothing has helped, I've also tried everything EA told me.
Same thing happens...I don't understand because it is not a common glitch.

So there is no change even after doing a full uninstall, deleting the entire ea games folder under my docs and reinstalling? Also, if you notice in the FAQ the link to the game patches includes 11 different patches to install, depending on how many expansion you've installed. You've patched everything?

You can try doing a fresh install of the latest Nvidia drivers for your card. First go to add/remove programs and get rid of anything to do with Nvidia. Restart your computer and it should prompt you about finding new hardware and wanting to install the software for it. Ignore that. Instead download these and install. Then restart again. Also good to get the newest directx

Curious about your system temperatures after prolonged gameplay. Download and run this program. Leave it running while you play TS2 for about an hour, then post a screencap of the program. It will record the maximum temperatures your system components reach.

Your ram and cpu are also on the low side. Check out this thread for realistic minimums. If you have any expansions installed you could try uninstalling everything and then reinstalling just the base game.

I've tried everything virtually possible.
Nothing fixes this very old problem.

Okay so I saw the temperature change,
and I put a fan behind the thingy.
The temperature has cooled down...
a lot.
But the glitch still happens.

You've already tried everything new I recommended in post #4 too?

Well looks like your gpu and cpu don't have any heat sensors.. but your hard drive is MUCH too hot. In fact it is only two degrees from critical.. For one thing this means you have an increased chance of data loss/corruption. Over time this sustained heat level can cause the drive to fail all together. Also, if your hard drive is running that hot it's possible other components in your computer are also overheating. This high heat could be wearing out your gpu, thus causing the graphics glitches. This is a desktop, right? I recommend opening it up and taking a can of compressed air to clean it for dust. Make sure to pay special attention to all the fans in the case. Your computer is obviously an older machine, and over time dust build up can really reduce your computer's ability to cool itself. When you've done that run the program after playing the game awhile again and let's at least see if the temp comes down..

If the problem is due to long term high heat wearing down the graphics card there's not anything that can be done to fix it.

Also have you tried making a new administrator account and installing TS2 on there? If you have a copy of windows to install you could also make a new partition on your hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows onto it. You'll have to install all your drivers of course. This is a lot of work but it's guaranteed to narrow it down to hardware vs. software issue. If you've really gone though EVERYTHING suggested in this thread, those are my last two ideas.

Yes I have...
& yes it is a desktop [thank goodness].
And okay.
Thanks for all the help.
I will try that and I will get back @ you to see.
It is basically an older machine, and it has a lot of dust so maybe that is why this is happening, and it's been for ever since it's been opened up and cleaned.
