Okay, so i made this new crwon (<---can you tell I'm up too early? ) and needed to recolor it to go with a black dress. Sounds easy right? Errrgggnnn-WRONG! See, the dress has a blood-red garnet broach, and matching earrings. So that means I really kinda have to include a garnet stone in the crown. UNFORTUNATELY, aside from a cut diamond (I can't do cut stones on this mesh as it's round) absolutely NOTHING I've tried for a second stone seems to match. I presently have a topaz in there that sorta looks ok. What do you guys think? does this look good, would another color work better?

Why not just do another garnet rather than a different stone?

I have considered that, but I wanted to exhaust all options before that. But it's definately looking like the only answer. Any other ideas though?

Moonstone, opal, or marcasite are commonly paired with garnet. Marcasites are usually small and faceted though, not in cabochon form.

Lovely, and if you don't like that, try matching the gold decals on the dress!
