Ok, I have a pretty decent laptop, it's a Compaq Presario A900. Now what happens is when I run bodyshop it'll load slow then freezes my entire computer. Now here's the odd thing, sometimes it doesn't. I thought it might be due to my screen size 1440X900 but I'm not sure. Any help/suggestions? |

Please go through our FAQ: http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?...lp:Game_Problem Follow them step by step in order, and post back telling us if anything changes. Unfortunately I do need to point out that your laptop is not as strong as you may believe. In fact, it doesn't even meet minimum requirements to run the base game. You have an integrated video chipset, not an actual dedicated card. Now it is one of the better ones, but EA still states you need at least a 2.0ghz processor with the base game. For these later expansions you have, then you need a minimum of 2.4ghz. The Pentium Dual Core that comes with this notebook is under 2.0ghz and this particular processor is one of the reasons that we created a guide for people having problems with their multi core processors - meaning it is one that's known to have some problems. Your lock-ups could very easily be due to your computer being over-taxed. I recommend checking out this guide: http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?...nboard_Graphics Some things you won't be able to do since you have a laptop, but it still has some effective instructions on how to increase the performance of your laptop. |
