thanks, glad everyone likes them. ^_^ i worked hard on the red brindle, still couldnt get the head to look right...

I saw one of these dogs while in NYC. They are very protective and I believe they are not the kind of dog that can adjust to a new family. Very interesting breed. Very imposing with their red eyes. Thanks for thinking of this breed and educating us on its history.

yes, they wouldn't adjust easily to a new family. they become very attached to their humans and are known to suffer seperation anxiety when away from them. you're lucky to have seen one though, and i agree they're probably very imposing.
