Hi there. Now I'm creating a recolor of amazing CatOfEvilGenius's Oxford shirts .
It says "This mesh has two groups, but only needs ONE texture resource. Please use SimPE to make it just one."

OK, I see! But I don't know how. How do I make it one texture resource?
Help me please Thanks.

To remove duplicate TXTR resources and save disk space, you will need to use SimPE, but don't worry, it is not complicated.

In this example, we have a shirt mesh with two parts, "top" and "top2".
Both mesh parts use the same texture, but BodyShop makes two copies of it.
The extra copy is an unnecessary waste of disk space.

After you make your recolor file with BodyShop, and import it into the game, it will be in your SavedSims folder.

Open the recolor in your SavedSims folder with SimPE.

Click the TXTR resources in the Resource List (see picture)
You will see a list of four TXTRs.
Two of these are bump maps, they have Normal in their name.
Two of them are shirt pattern textures.
See how two of them have "top" in the name, and two have "top2"?
Get rid of the ones that have "top2" in the name, they are unnecessary duplicates.
Right click a TXTR, you will see a drop down menu, select Delete.

You will see a line go through each TXTR you Delete.
Go to the File menu, select Save, the TXTRs with a line through them will disappear.
You should now have two "top" TXTRs, one shirt texture and one shirt bump map, and zero "top2" TXTRs.

Now, go to the Resource List and click on the TXMT resources (see picture below).
You will see two TXMTs in a list. You will keep both, but change one of them.
One has "top" in the name, one has "top2" in the name (see picture below).
Click the one that has "top2" in the name.
Now, in Plugin View, click the Content tab, then the Categorized Properties subtab.
Look at the picture below, see the red arrow pointing to stuff you need to change?
Get rid of the 2's, so it says "top", not "top2".
Press the Commit button.
Go to the File menu, do Save.

You're done! Yay!
