I want to try meshing and object recolors but for some reason SimPE crashes on me when I try to load the objects to recolor. I started doing that meshing tutorial with the dining room table and sure enough SimPE did not want to cooperate! I have the updated version for Apartment Life and it's not working. Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Also, I'm not sure if this is the right place but Creator Issues didn't seem to be the place either so if anyone can direct me in the right place if this isn't it then I would greatly appreciate it. :D

You might want to try the Object Creation forum.

Moving to the Tools forum.

I'm worried that my latest Salvation Army donation will result in homeless people looking like sluts from the 90s.

Ok well let's start with a better description of what SimPE is doing and when Try to use descriptions that include the actual titles of the tab or menu option you have used so I know where you were. Also what it *actually* did that you are loosely calling a "crash".

Oh, thanks Canoodle for moving the thread to the proper place.

Inge, to be honest I'm not really sure what it's doing. My computer will just freeze. I will get to the part of the tutorial that says, open up SimPE and click on the object workshop tab, then click start. I will click start and then my computer will just freeze. After waiting patiently for about 20 minutes I will just restart my computer. Could it be my computer?

Oh it's not crashing, it's behaving normally for what are probably your circumstances. You don't want to keep restarting your computer when SimPE has the game packages open or you could risk corrupting the data.

What are your computer specs, particularly RAM? Do you have your downloads included in your filetable?

See if reading this http://simpeforum.ambertation.de/si...arger-in-memory helps.

I have 1GB of RAM I believe. I'm not sure where the filetable is so I can't say for sure if I have my downloads included there. I will try to read the forum though to see if it helps.

Oh, I just want to add that yesterday I decided to try the body meshing tutorial and SimPE worked fine for that. I'm not sure if that means anything but I just wanted to let you know. Thanks for the help though.

Also turn off background processes. I have heard of people with an improvement after turning off virus checking. I upgraded to 3Gb RAM and that helped lol!
