I just got my computer this xmas and I can't believe how much I was missing while playing the Sims! The grahics are amazing. Just one problem ... everything is too small. I'm using a 19" Widescreen (1440x900) and It runs on Vista. When I change my sims hair or something in the mirror it looks so tiny. The graphics and texts are very small. I have to really get close to my screen to play. I think I'm supposed to go to the Graphics Rules.sgr and edit there, but it won't let me save it. The Read-Only is UNchecked and it tells me "Cannot create the C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 University\TSData\Res\Config\Graphics Rules.sgr file. Make sure the path and the file name are correct." (Yes, I only have that 1 ep). Is there anything I could do to fix this without having to reinstall my game?

What program are you using to edit the graphics rules file with? Try saving it somewhere else and then copy-pasting it into the original location.

I will choose a path that's clear- I will choose free will

Are you running as an administrator? Vista's "security features" are purposefully designed to stop things working, and they have a very high success rate in this. I've seen a lot of people who couldn't change configs or save games (not in TS2) because Vista wouldn't allow their account to edit files within Program Files.

Wow, why didn't I think of that? I was frustrating myself for hours trying to figure it out. It worked! Thank you so much.
