everytime i load my sims 2 game something new has started happening....a pop up saying WSST_ENGINE MFC has stopped working and must close...then the game freezes and shuts down. I have ran a file search on my computer and nothing by that name is found. I have ran all of my scans and after two days of dealing with this the problem still accurs. I have googled this problm and havent found any answers. If anyone can shed some light on this, it would mean so much to me! Thank you so much in advance. I am in desperate need |

In order to better solve your problem, please go through the following as listed below:
On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed. |

A quick google found this: Q. I am running Vista Home Premium on a new Dell laptop and have recently started getting the following error message: 'wsst_engine mfc Application has stopped working'. I can get rid of the message by hitting the Esc key and it does not appear to affect any programs but it keeps on popping up several times in a working session. I have looked on the Microsoft Knowledgebase but a search yields no results. Do you have any ideas as to what is going on, if it is important or not and how to stop the message appearing? Michael Gunn, via email A. This file belongs to a screensaver program developed by a company called West, which is also marketed under the name Auralis and include such visual delights as Bikini Girls, Snakes, BackStreet Boys and World Wrestling Federation Stars. Anyway, if you have installed a screensaver of this type on your laptop, get rid of it and the problem will go away. It should appear on the list in Programs and Features in Control Panel. . http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/technologyfaqs/3356514/Faqs!-Facts!-Fax!-Slow-to-open.html Not sims related at all. I'm worried that my latest Salvation Army donation will result in homeless people looking like sluts from the 90s. |
