do you ever get a feeling when you look in some old fashion magazines," Ah, I wish i lived there look how beautiful the dresses are!" I do. or do you simply like something from old days or now that you wish you had? Share picture. I like old flapper dresses they seem really elegant to me. ![]() I also adore dresses from 50s. I love how they bring out the waist. Very adorable. ![]() Me and my husband are gonna have a reception, and I want every one to dress up nicely. I wanna have a very similar dress to above for myself. :D What about you ladies? |

Definitely the 30's and 40's- not just for women, but for men, too. So elegant (not to mention that I love trenchcoats)!

I have five trench coats of varying lengths: black and gold, magenta, tweed, cream, and red. They're just so stylish Why won't your hubby let you wear heels? For me, heels are more comfortable than flats because my feet have very high arches. |

Arghhh. I honestly can't decide! I love the fashion of today, but most of it is very much inspired by the shapes and styles from previous decades. |

I would say today's fashion is really inspired by 80's and a little bit of 90's. At least, the people I'm around all the time. |

I love the glamour of the "old days" (early to mid-century), hate the 1960s and 1970s (except Charlie's Angels and Farrah hair |

He says to many slutty girls in his school wore them and they associate with them for him. Plus he likes to hold my hand when we walk and if i wear heels i become few cm taller. bugs him a bit. I still wear them once in a while.

That's the exact same for me, but I wear flats all the time because heels are a no-no at my school, but that will change next year . Oh, and I definitely agree with the 30's and 40's as my favourite fashion era. The clothes were absolutely incredible, and so elegant.

I quite like medieval style dresses. I love scooping necklines and long, sweeping sleeves. But that's only for fancy dress or formal For normal fashion I like mostly modern fashions - skinny jeans etc - but I like to experiment, and I love the layered hippie look, though it doesn't really work well on me. |

The years when the hippies were around. *is total hippy, vegetarian, spaced out (mostly) etc etc* but I don't dress like one. |

I love the era of 1910's till 1930's the most. Oh the dresses, shoes, hats and gloves there were in silent films.. All handmade of the finest materials, and the make-up made the ladies look very expressive, I love that. Look at this dress, it's made in the 20's, and was sold on internet for two grands! Just imagine how long it has took to make all that delicate embroidery. ![]() |

I always say I love the 90s and everything about that decade, but I just googled for some pictures and I have to say I've just had terrible flashbacks to some massive fashion mistakes from that decade! Slap bracelets, hair scrunchies and mini-backpacks being some of them... I liked the casual, laidback fashion of the 90s, like the plaid shirts, the doc martens that you could wear with dresses and skirts and not look strange, the dresses that were always plaid or printed with small flowers and that you would wear over a plain t-shirt. And demin everything, especially the high waisted jeans, shorts, skirts...everything. I don't like the Clueless style 90s fashion though, that's too much for even me! Boys had terriblehaircuts too, I'm not going to deny that. I think I just feel nostalgia for that decade because I was born at the very end of the 80s so the 90s was my childhood. I also really like the elegance of the 40s and 50s, and the 1920s fashions are great, but would look really bad on me. I love the dresses from Medieval, Tudor, Renaissance, Victorian, Regency periods...but you just couldn't make them work for today. And a toga is surprisingly comfortable too... |

No! I love high waisted jeans like that! But I don't think they look good on many people, so I guess it's kind of a good thing they aren't in fashion any more. It was liek when skinny jeans were massively fashionable and everyone wore them even though everyone definitely shouldn't have!

I wear mens shirts all the time too. I like how they aren't so fitted, they're so easy to throw on with a pair of jeans or a skirt when I don't know what to wear.

I love them too, I wear them lots! I just mean that they don't look so great on some people, but that those people wear them anyway just because they are in fashion (I love how I'm saying this, I'm probably one of those people! ).

I know exactly what you mean- I see too many girls who wear skinny jeans that seem as if they're bursting at the seams. I don't mean to be unkind, but if you're not skinny, then you shouldn't wear skinny jeans, elsewise it looks like you were literally poured into the fabric and excess air was vacuumed out. There comes a point where you need to step back and avoid a trend- I can get away with skinny jeans, being tall and skinny, but no matter how cute I think cropped cardigans are, I don't wear them- those are made for petites, and would look hideous on someone tall like me.
