Okay, so I'm making some new wedding cakes and the whole cake itself turned out beautifully. Even when they take a slice of the cake it looks perfect. The problem is the slice of cake reverts back to the default Maxis cake instead of my new one. How can I fix this?

I didn't made any wedding cakes yet, but in birthday cakes GUID of slice is hardcoded in one of bhavs. search bhavs in your cake for CreateNewObjectInstance and replace GUID with the GUID of your slice. Might be in semiglobals, though - you'll need to import it then.

Also, why does my slices have these dark marks all over them? And my chocolate cake has wholes in it?

Okay everything would be perfect if I could just figure out why these marks keep showing up. I've made the slice and the cake over and over again, and can't seem to find the problem. Then I looked back at my posts and realized I forgot to upload the packages. :P

Try changing the file format of the textures from DTX1 to DTX3 and reimport your textures. This should solve the problem.

By the way, did you already find a solution for the problem with the wholes?

No I didn't. I also don't know where to put the GUID for the custom plate. Thanks so much for your help. I'm going to try that right now!

Not sure what you're talking about with dark marks... Could you circle them in the screen shot?

They look like someone took a marker and scribbled on then. I also uploaded the other cake.

Someone from another site helped me out. It turned out I was using the wrong slice. Anyhoo, thanks to everyone who tried to help me! I really appreciate it.
