A few months ago, I used to have loads of custom content. But then, non related to the sims, I got a computer virus and had to do a back up of everything, except my sims game because it took up too much room, and do a 'restore to factory settings' on my computer. It was the only way to fix the virus. Well, my computers well now, and I have just recently started to play the sims again. Well, for the past few days, I have been trying to get custom content. I have everything downloaded to get custom content: winrar, maid sims file 2, CEP colors, ETC. But almost none of the content will show up. The only content that will show up is houses and clothing, well clothing that you have to click the 'install' button for. So basically the only content that will show up is the content that you have to click the 'install' button for. Hair, skintones, makeup, glasses..anything like that really wont show. I have made sure everything is extracted, I do in fact own Sims 2 Deluxe and I have made sure that the things that need to be set on off are off and the things that need to be set on 'on' are on in the options menu. Please go through the whole guide before asking any further questions on downloading and installing custom content as pretty much everything you could possibly want to know is explained there - including info for Mac and Vista users.
  
  Getting Custom Content to Show Up explains what to do if you've followed all the instructions in Downloading for Fracking Idiots and your content still isn't showing up, or if content that was showing up fine before suddenly won't show up.
