Hi everyone!

I've got problems with the water on neighbourhood lots. It just shows a blue space instead of water, can see little waves but it just looks creepy haha, here are my system specs:

==System==

* Operating System: Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0
* Processor:Intel Core 2 Duo T5900 2.2GHz
* Memory: 4026 RAM
* Page File: 2172 used, 6080 left
* DirectX Version:10
* Laptop Model Number: Acer Aspire 6935

==Display==

* Name: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset
* Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
* Chip Type: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset
* Approx. Total Memory: 1759 MB

* Main Driver: igdumd64.dll, igd10umd64.dll
* Version: 7.15.0010.1527

==Sound==

* Name: RealTek High Def Audio

I have sims 2 plus all expansion packs (to AL), no stuff packs installed. I had another laptop (Presario C702LA) with half the ram of this one and intel graphics 3100 and water on neighbourhood was ok. When I enter vacation neighbourhoods (for example twikii island) water and sand doesn't show up correctly, but when I enter lots I have no problems with water.

I include some pics of the issue:

Water on Belladonna Cove

Water and sand on Twikkii Island

Water Hotel Lot

Have already searched for the same issue on this website but none seems to apply. Many thanks for your answers!

That's a pretty common issue with most integrated Intel graphics. Assuming you have all the in-game settings turned up like reflections, effects, etc., then I don't think there's anything you can do to fix it - I've heard of lots of people with that problem (including me, with my old integrated Intel chip) and never any solution. Integrated Intel simply isn't gaming graphics - and it's usually a pretty bad idea to subject a computer with integrated Intel to high-strain games like TS2. In fact, I'd recommend turning the settings down in most cases, if you're going to play it at all.

For more info on that last point, see here: http://www.sims2wiki.info/wiki.php?...nboard_Graphics

Ohh well... that's just sad since I just bought it to play sims (my other intel card was great so I thought this one would be even better...) hahaha but... thank you! I guess I'll just stick to waterless neighbourhoods then hehe 'cause everything else looks pretty good =D
