I've tried to clone a hairdresser chair/makeover station from OFB and then problem with animation appeared with my new, cloned chair. What I did? I imported a maxis seat obj mesh ('Outside the Box' chair seat from FT, as you could see at attached image), by replacing a hairdresser chair seat obj mesh in GMDC SimPE option. My chair looks pretty fine in game until makeover animation starts The first strange thing that happens is that sim does not seat properly anymore while metal cylinder goes through the seat (1.) and the second problem is that metal foot base of original hairdresser chair did not move as it should, following the level/line of legs (2.). Does anyone know what's going on and how to correct the issue? Any help is highly appreciated, thank you so much in advance. (Please accept my apologize for not so good English or if my explanation of problem was not so clear). |

Im not an expert but mess around with the chair a little bit. If you can shift it in the right place it might just work. |

Thank you for quick reply. Well, I did compare a position/placement of original chair parts and mine own - they are the same. Though, there are few changes comparing to original I've made and these changes are not related to position but with the UVMapping. Actually it was my very first try of working with UVmapper - footbase originally shares a texture with a seat but I've changed it, remapp it to share a texture with a metal base because I do not wish footbase has a fabric pattern that new seat needs. If you have any new idea I'll be happy and thankful to hear. |

Cloning an object with animation like fridge or dressers (or many others), is a bit different than a simple one. You will probably have to use the 'Mesh Tool'. take a look at this tutorial by JWoods: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=86295 |

Sorry I can't take requests anymore! And I will probably never convert my creations for TS2 to TS3. |

You don't really wanna try to clone the hairdresser station. The makeover chair has enough bugs in it without adding more. Making the thing actually function correctly would involve a LOT more code than you are apparently prepared to do or understand...because even the original one doesn't work right! Unless you are prepared to achieve an understanding of sims code that is greater than that of even EAxian programmers, I suggest not attempting this. The makeover chair a nightmare of horrible bugs. |

My knowledge is low at this moment to do such advanced things, that's true. I didn't know the makeover station is that tricky, indeed .If there was no an issue of legs going through a metal footbase in a seating position, I would have probably cloned an ordinary dining chair at a start, huh. Thank you for helpful reply and care. |
