How do you get into a private school? Do you have to get 90 points to get in?

Try this: http://au.guides.ign.com/guides/564180/page_6.html

All I did was a simply Google search. About one third of the way down the page, under the heading Private School.

Missy, I think you must get the minimum score of 90 points to get accepted to private school. I like to have an extra 1500 cash on hand to buy a nice sculpture to show on the outside tour. Then I sell that back and buy a nice painting to put in the rooms being shown. It isn't a necessity, but it helps. Stand next to trees or plants or a swimming pool outside, whatever has the best environment rating for your sim. Sometimes, if you have a nice porch, that is the best place to stand during the tour outside.

Inside, turn on every light in the house and stand where it is well lit.

I buy the buffet table and have someone serve a plate of turkey and then cancel the action when the food is on the table. That plate will be for the headmaster.

Use the most outgoing sim available to greet the headmaster and smooze for extra points. Sometimes the headmaster just won't get along with one of your sims, so have someone else smooze.

I have a short section on the website in my signature already written for the headmaster if you want to check that out, but it's basically: give tour, invite to dinner, and then smooze if you didn't get enough points yet.

What is it good for to get into Privat School? I have not figured out why my simkids should go to private school? What is the advantage?

Getting into private school is a high-level want for knowledge/fortune teens & parents. According to the wiki, kids in private school experience reduced needs decay and private school teens get an employment bump.

Private school drains fun less quickly than public school so kids come home in better moods. The private school random events give skill points while the public school events give trivial amounts of money.

yes at least 90...make sure at least one person can cook amazingly well...then have another one (the wife, usually) show the master around the house...then flirt/flirt/flirt...

I noticed that if you make drinks and a Headmaster takes one (or two, or three ), you get extra points for that. I might be wrong, but I think it was 10 points per drink. So whenever I plan to have a Headmaster over, I ensure there's a bar with ready drinks close the dining room

Coffee and the hot tub are supposed to work as well. You can also try the aspiration reward which boosts interactions. I'm not sure if private school is really worth doing more than once, but I usually just send the teen to University asap.

My headmasters like porkchops. I never use the schmooze (sp?) option, I just make my sims chat with him. I have completely normal houses, nothing very expencive. And 99% of the time I get the kids to privateschools.

I make sure that the child goes to school in a good mood. When the child arrives home from school, I send her/him in to watch TV, to get the fun up.
4:30 I have a sim cook porkshops
5:00 I send a sim (if a single parent it will be the child) out to greet HM and chat/tell jokes until the food is ready. Then they eat. If homework isnīt ready, the child will finish it while HM and parents are eating.
Then it is time for the tour and more chatting, if the tour wasnīt that impressing.

This works for me

Extremely helpful! I just wanted my oldest to be accepted - that is, that's what he wanted as a fortune Sim - but I ended up getting all five in with 107 points. I didn't even really have to try...a drink and a good dinner! If only it were that easy in real life......
