I was playing the Ottomas family and mum just gave birth to twins. The nanny came by for the first time but was dismissed because everyone was home. After she was dismissed, she walked over to the crib, took one of the twins and got into the nanny van and drove away!
My twins were well fed and taken care of, and no warnings of social workers. Has anyone else had this happen? I was amazed!

Do you have the latest patch? I think it may be a bug. I've heard of visitors to the lot accidentally being able to take them off the lot.

I had a similar glitch once. Dad was holding baby when the carpool arrived. He forgot to put down the baby - and ended up taking it with him in the car. Luckily he came home with the baby! (Perhaps he had daycare at his place of employment!)

I've never been married, but I tell people I'm divorced so they won't think something is wrong with me.

That happened to me too! There was only the teenager with the twins and I wanted the nanny to go away and she took the baby. I didn't save the game because I was scared the baby wouldn't come back. Maybe it has something to do with twins.

I just had one nanny who took a toddler out of the crib to feed him in the high chair. He wasn't hungry, but he was tired enough to refuse to eat. So she got him a bottle. He threw it on the floor. So she got him another one. By this time the mother was home and the kid's bladder was in the red as well. The mother took the kid to the potty. The nanny took him back off the potty (in mid-steam) and put him back in the chair. The mom dismissed the nanny, took the kid back to the potty, and put him to bed.

Since this is a rather popular toddler he has some influence points to spend. He is also not very nice, and doesn't like that nanny much. So he got even. When she showed up the next day he influenced Kennedy Cox to fight with the nanny.

I am Ghost. My husband (who made the account because I was too shy) is sidneydoj. I post, he downloads, and I wanted to keep my post count.

HILARIOUS! I don't think I ever thought to use influence with toddlers home with a nanny. haha

This actually happened to me one time too. I can't remember the exact circumstances, but the nanny was holding the baby & got into her nanny van and off they went. Eventually the baby turned up laying on the sidewalk (in the snow), but no damage was done. Strange but true.

Once you use influence with a toddler they stop getting more every time they get enough friends to open the bar farther. The only wants they have that will earn more are the potty-train, learn to walk, and learn to talk ones which my toddler had already filled. This means you can't do it too often, but it is definately something that is fun to play around with.

Ha ha! That's really weird. Next time you hire a nanny, save your game and if a nanny does that again just re-enter the lot without saving.

Yeah! The baby's picture did disappear now that I think about it! I didn't save it, just went out and did it all again. And fired the nanny before they were born (stupid nanny!)

I've heard of this happening before. Thankfully never happened to me though; even though I use nannys more often than not!

Has changed username from Figgi to Lemon&Lime, thanks admins! :)

It's just like deleting a sim with MoveObjects...their pic will dissapear, and even if you save it, next time you reenter the lot they will be back.
