 Has This Happenned To Anyone?

I've been happily playing seasons for awhile, hack free and almost download free (full reinstall, still working on getting my downloads together) when suddenly the wants/fears boxes of my sims are empty or half empty (as in 2 wants and 1 or 2 fears). Just little empty boxes. Makes it very hard to play, as you can imagine, not knowing what my little simmies want or fear. Has anyone experienced this or knows a solution? On a side note, has anyone noticed that one of the families that come with one of the sims expansions (the Ottomans)....well there is something quite strange about them. There are 3 kids, 2 parents and a granma and when you move in the mother is pregnant. She gives birth to twins, but their father is not Mr. Ottoman - it shows a picture of a dog! Very strange indeed....but a good laugh. :lol |

Well since I just reinstalled Windows 2000 a week or two ago, and did a full reinstall of the sims with all expansions and have NO hacks whatsoever and only some hair and eyes, how can that be? I have checked through the downloads with Clean Installer and I just don't understand.... |

Are you virus, spyware, and adware clean? Try Ad-Aware, it's a nice program by Lavasoft, good for cleaning your PC, and its free. |

My friend & I both have Seasons, and here in a little bit when I get offline, I'll see what happens with mine (after she has her twins). && We found that when the grandma opens her mouth really wide in the family screenshot, it looks like she has a mustache. xD |

This always happens to me when I install a new EP before I remember to clean out my downloads and hacks. Since that's obviously not the case with you, I suggest that you go Ledgo's route and see if the problem rests not with the Sims 2 software, but with some sort of spyware, adware, or virus that may be infecting your Sims 2 files. |

I get empty boxes as wants/fears every once in a while, but they always reroll into real pictures soon enough. Does this happen all the time or just occasionally? If you place your mouse on the empty box it will tell you what want/fear it is. |

Actually this has happened to me after I installed Pets in most families. Getting them to re-roll using the Flirt - Check out option or simply letting a few days pass solved the problem. The Sim Modder wasn't a help here unfortunately. |

Well it happens to me all of the time. But I really do not care, I wish Maxis could add a "No Aspiration" so that you could play the dang game like the way you played The Sims. I hate these stupid aspirations. I do not want my sims deciding what they want, I want me to decided what they want. >

FreakAboutSims , I use Paladin's "Asperation Preserver" in his Objects Section http://www.simwardrobe.com/ I don't like playing the Asperations either and this solves the problem perfectly!! Check it out. |

Wow, this will be the very first hack I'll ever DL. Aspirations is the only thing I don't like about the Sims 2. Thanks a lot! |

I sometimes had this problem is past EPs with my toddler sims, usually after they learned allt heir toddler skills and basically were waiting to grow up. It went away after they aged to kid though. Haven't had it happen since I installed seasons. |

yeah I have had this with past ep's usually with the toddlers. Eventually they straighten themselves out. i actually thought it was just because with each new ep we have new wants and fears so it may lag a bit. who knows. mine has done with tons of downloads and completely empty so I think it may just be one of those odd things. |
