I had this glinch in the very first day I played seasons...

The Sim in the Tub gets so hot it's set on fire. Then I saw ppl complaining about this and tryed do do it again, but nothing happened... But this week, I dont had much time to play, and the little time I had was blowen to oblivion 'couse about five times, my sism were set on fire and killed... And the worst, those who try to extinguish the fire are cautch on the fire too...

The Maxis patch doesnt fix this, neighter could I find a hack to fix this...

I never saw anyone be set on fire because was too hot, or was using a damn pool... Filled with WATER

Other things I think are kinda dumb in seasons... This Heat Metter is a lot buggy and nonsence... Your sims during winter get cold in about one hour outside, even wearing outwear... But in a sim hour you cant do much... Then, if they are cold, they go to the shower... But it doesnt warm up... And if the sim hygiene is high, they keep goin' in and out the shower.

The kids can't jump in the bed for more then, like, five minutes
I used to leave my kids jumping in beds for some time when they had nothing better to do... Now, after like 5 minutes I get a warning the social assistant will come take me 'couse my kids are too hot -.-

This EP is amazing... But it has its, really anoying, flaws...

I know. I have all the above problems, or should I say 'had'. I went to MATY and got the warmth fix. At least now I don't have spontaneously combusting Sims. LOL Hopefully the next patch will address some of those issues.

I , too, agree that the warmth meters are seriously broken. I mean, c'mon, you make one snow angel and freeze to death? I'm a North Dakotan. We live in bitter cold, sometimes -35F before the windchill factor, and even we don't freeze to death from one snow angel/snowman. Maybe the Eamaxis employees in California think that anything less than freezing is deadly? But then again, they do live in their own little world.

I'm worried that my latest Salvation Army donation will result in homeless people looking like sluts from the 90s.

MaxoidSam said in his blog entry for today that the hot tub glitch will be fixed in the next patch (whenever it is released).

I don't mind if you call me "MSD" or something for short.
Perhaps someday I'll have leisure time back...

Yeah...I'm responsible for that. I signed his GB yesterday with an epistle on the subject with links to the fixes already available. I also wondered why they weren't more forthcoming about known glitches. He wrote back to me and said " great idea". Bah! It doesn't take a genius to figure out that to stay in the good graces of your customer base you need to keep them informed.

I'm scared for my Sims to catch fire, and so far none of them have, even when i overwork them on their exercise machines and oversit them in their hot tubs... i guess i've been lucky so far.

People whining about setting fire fromt he hot tub in summer are really starting to piss me off.

Do YOU get in a BOILING HOT TUB in 80 DEGREE WEATHER? No. No you don't.

So stop making your sims, damnit! You know the consequences of it, so don't do it! It's not that hard! >_<

Meh, my sim died today from heatstroke in the middle of the night and it was raining. I deleted grim reaper and my game froze. Now I'm scared to start up the game, I want my sim back.

Four more deaths at my dorm last night (dormies). One hottub victim was extinguished ( liked that dormie). 2 lightning deaths, 1 hottub death, and one spontaneous combustion after the sim left the hottub and was playing pool.

I was actually trying to cull some fugly dormies. Got rid of the annoying ones ( enemies of each other who constantly fought). I then put a fire alarm outside by the hottub. After the combustion of the one playing pool ( who I had been trying to lure to his death), I put the hottub in my Sim's inventory. This is kind of working out for me. I had to take the warmth mod out of my game to accomplish this. Thankfully, the game generated some really nice dormies who actually had skills and weren't too hard on the eyes.

It would be good if someone came up with an unheated hot tub that could be used in the summer. Or a mod to the exisiting ones. Like clicking on it and there be an option for heated or normal.

I don't even know if thats possible though.

The Warmth mod at MATY does that for you. Look under the firing range forum. :-) It's not technically an 'unheated' tub. The mod stops combustion from hottubs, exercise machines, etc.

One thing that hasn't been addressed, is the lightning strikes that kill Sims in hottubs/pools. But then again, what idiot goes in a hottub or pool during a lightning storm? I'll tell you who : a contender for a Darwin Award. LOL

You win so many points for mentioning the Darwins.

And yeah. Sims don't have much common sense. Mine keep starting water balloon fights in knee-deep snow and then complain when they turn blue. I removed the hot tub from their lot for now.

Yep. Any Sim that is stupid enough to remove themselves so spectacularly from the gene pool doesn't deserve to breed. Much less be saved.

Actually, yes, I do (though the water's usually only 140* Farenheit). It's great for crampy muscles, and to me, nothing quite says "family vacation/trip" like a hotel with a hot tub by the pool where my siblings and I can disregard most laws of sanity and challenge each other to heat endurance contests! :eviltongu

OMG!!! I have to like do this right now!! I had no idea that I could get dormies to spontaneously combust for my viewing pleasure!

Gone are the days where you can just send a Sim that has nothing to do to the hottub and s/he'll stay there for the entire day. :\ *used to do that a lot with Elders and PermaPlat Sims*

On my college lot there was this mascot called Ramin Fairchild. He would come everyday from around Fall to Spring. In the Winter hes outside walking in swimshorts and im like "IDIOT!". Then he hops in the hottub and spent a good 5 sim days in there. He comes out and is on fire and runs towards my sims gf and im like "oh no you dont" so i ran her into the pool. And had called the fire dep and started extinguishing them.Sadly Ramin died. And i felt bad so i fought the Grimy for them lol.And Ramin was mad at me for that. LOL.

It's all just a matter of time now!

More like they burst into flames and do the FIRE FIRE DANCE.

Only I haven't had it happen yet. I had two Townies I was trying to get rid of in a hot tub for three days straight... one finally got hit by lightning in a storm and died, and the other one happened to cross a cowplant.
