4.71 GB, 14,155 files and 1,665 FOLDERS!
God, I knew I was really OCD about everything being categorized, but 1,665?!
I have a problem xD A spring clean is in order, my poor laptop won't handle much more.

Bah, you people are so funny! I'd die with only 4 GB.

EDIT: Moved my downloads folder to my external for a moment to free up some space for a render or five. Nearly fell on the floor. The extra 10 GB was unexpected to say the least.

I currently have 583MB of custom content. I only reinstalled a week or so ago though, so I'm sure that will soon increase! :-) I have found most of the hacks/mods I used to use, now for everything else! :-D

I'm also on GoS. I go on here for the community, not really for the downloading. Just being honest.

I'm taking it slow because I'm trying to keep it all neatly organised. I failed at that during my last install, and it was such a hassle finding things that my game objected to.... It's currently 2,555 files, 184 folders.

I have stuff organised by Sub Category (Hacks, CAS, Buy Mode, Build Mode, Food, Careers, Majors etc) and the Creator (or Site). The Hacks folder is also sub-divided according to what the hack affects (Relationships, University, Ageing etc). Seems to be working so far :-)

Right now it´s "only" 3,56 GB. Before I started to trim down my downloads folder it was something like 5,2 GB once, and that was when I realized I couldn´t continue like I that. I basically downloaded everything I though looked pretty good and I downloaded lots of clothes and hair I thought I would maybe use sometime. Even with a smaller downloadsfolder I still feel like I have tons of stuff I´ll never use, but just can´t get rid of because they are so pretty... My goal right now is to get under 3 GB.

I took a look at my boyfriend's *new* folder, it's 18 GB. I nearly cried it was that small.

The only CC I currently have is some lipstick I was experimenting with and some eyes I made as another experiment. My game was having problems loading so I completely wiped it clean... I feel so... unaddicted. Compared to you guys

i have over 1000 files O.o...
this scares me D:
i had alot more, but then my game screwed up, so i spent a few hours doing a 50-50-see-if-my-game-works-with-this-half type thing until i found the single file of like 2000 that crashed my game at startup. after i got it working agaian (keeping all my custom content :D) i went through build/buy mode and got rid of all recolors and items that i never used so i have about 1000 left.

3446.... just shy of one gig. Which I thought was getting to be quite a lot, but I'm releaved to see some of you have much more.

I'm curious, what is the benefit of putting them in folders? Does it speed up the game, or is it just to keep things organized better?

I put my stuff in folders so I can find it easily if something is glitching, conflicting or I simply don't like it. It also helps to have everything organised.

As of 06-22-2012:

Custom File Count: 2,273
Total Size: 969 MB

Well I suppose since I am working to become a Creator for some Sims 2 clothes I have somewhat of a valid excuse. That and I am a sucker for custom content. We have some very talented people in the Sims 2 modding community but ya'll already know that. Compared to others though this is kinda small. I am intrigued as to what you guys have.

Sooo.. I thought I'd check out my CC file... umm 20,696 Files, 3,389 Folders, size 6.71 GB (7,207,038,976 bytes)... wow, time to download delphy's download manager and sought the cc out, because it's all chucked in there randomly... oh dear it's going to be a long task to sort this lot out! Going to have to cull some down as well. No wonder my game takes half an hour to load...

Oh Noes Not Another Blog! - where you can see my awful custom content and horrible attempts at challenges, storytelling and picture taking.
Not much up there right now, this is only the beginning! :D

13.428 files and 5,15 GB
I seem to have 120 maps but not made by me.
Got it from the custom content makers by downloading their items, I guess.
It does irritate me a bit when content does not show up in the right place but I don't really know how to change it without messing up things.

I want to have a lot of everything so that my Sims have their own clothes and items and avoid as much as possible having the same things in their houses or on their head and on their body.

I think the biggest part is the 'hair department'.

8gb and counting... at least it only takes 10 minutes to load.

I should really try that Compressorizer thingy. I was taking a look at the folder, and the biggest is the clothing one, with 2gb, and filled with crap I never use or meshes without recolors and such, I really should clean it up, but I am way too lazy for that.

I am still impressed with the fact I have 50mb of MODS. Mods are, what, ridiculously small? I-It's not like I am addicted to them or something!

Please excuse my crappy english :(

i guess, if you have 75 GB for downloads.
My issue is that I only have 9 GB free space left on C and there is where my Sims is running too. That has put the breaks on the downloads. (80 GB space in total on C when I would have nothing on it, have way more on D but that does not help me in this one.)

I hadn't looked to see the size of my mods folder until now. 924 files, 131 MB. You're not alone!
