Exciting Saturday at the Rubens'. Amanda's aspiration is chronically low, with stuck wants to go to college or get into private school (the headmaster would run away from this house screaming), so I had her take her sisters and the dog out to the ice rink and the Convenient Stores, where other teens and children stubbornly refused to show up, except for Amanda's bff Petra Ottomas, with whom she satisfied a want to play darts. Petra, the best connected shy sim you ever saw, keeps introducing Amanda to people and Amanda never wants to seethem again. The most recent debacle was the outing with Tina Traveller and Frank Munny. Amanda ignored Tina and had a bad conversation with Frank, so she's now in low negatives with him. Which makes a change for him, anyway. Amanda finally took time to flirt a cashier (male; I think I have enough gay sims for this age cohort) and turns out to have reasonable boltage with every guy she knows, but the only one she has a decent relationship score with is Pollux Stacks, who is dating her cousin Ruby. So dating is not an immediately available option for getting Amanda's mood up. Oh, well, she's a teen with responsibilities - she's allowed to be glum. All four girls rolled wants to have their pictures made during the course of this excursion, so now I have photobooth pictures to hang of Amanda with her special sister Martine and Sarah with Josephine. All the girls except Josephine, who was platinum all day from getting A+ on Friday and making best friends with Cinnamon Beare in between rotations, were in low moods with some stuck unfillable wants. All day long, Martine had the same three wants to be friends with girls she'd come home with and infected with flu last rotation.

The afternoon was spent getting the homework out of the way (except for Sarah, whose homework is unclickable for some reason; I'd thought, based on other households, that homework disappeared during neighborhood resets, but apparently everybody else finished theirs before that happened), training their new dog Sister, and inviting the Stackses over. Sarah wanted to throw a sports party, but she didn't know enough sims and I'm pretty sure Joshua wouldn't have allowed it with Sally in her third trimester. With so many people in the house I had serial food production going on. Sally got out some leftover fish to get her hunger bar nice and full before she went up for her third-trimester nap, then Amanda made mac and cheese for the guests so they could be called to meal, then Joshua decided to make a good solid weekend dinner of roast beef and started a kitchen fire. Which was when I realized that I'd never gotten them a fire alarm!

Fortunately Amanda, the closest to the phone, lost no time in summoning the fire department, the house is big enough that the fire didn't wake up Sally, and Joshua consented to let me cancel his panic and start extinguishing almost immediately. Thanks to Sally's pregnancy addiction and Joshua's casual assumption that money is for spending on those he loves, this house is continually on a shoestring budget and losing the breadwinner would be disastrous, not only to them, but to Sally's son Gerry, who'd have to change all his post-graduation plans to move back in to take care of them, and to Sparrow Hawkins, who is engaged to Gerry. Which would be upsetting but interesting so I was sitting there staring at the screen and telling myself that no matter what happened I mustn't quit without saving.

In the middle of this, Jane Stacks decided it was time to go home, and walked straight through the firey kitchen twice to say good-bye. Her husband Castor also left, but he just walked out the front door without any ceremony. And here I always thought Jane was the sensible one...

Barely had the fire gone out than the camera jerked me to the top of the house and Sally cried: "Shoo-flee!" Everybody, including the teen-aged Stacks boys, crowded into the bedroom for the big moment - the birth of Joshua Ruben, Jr., to be addressed as JJ. Finally, the boy Sally's been relentlessly trying for! She gave him to Amanda to take care of while she used the master bathroom. Joshua announced that he was getting his tubes tied and went to the girls' bathroom to shower the fire away. Sarah, realizing that there was burned roast all over the kitchen, influenced Pollux Stacks to clean. Josephine and Martine went to bed.

JJ is a Libra, which makes him a reasonable starsign match with little Virgo AJ Centowski, also born this round. Ah, AJ and JJ - I can see her cleaning up after him already...he's only got one neat point. When Sarah gave him his first diaper change he had flies buzzing around him. Nobody in this family is meticulous, but holey cheese. Amanda and Martine are in low negatives with him. I think Amanda really resents his existence, and Martine's likely to take against him in imitation of her special sister. Josephine and Sarah kind of like him, so maybe Amanda can shove a lot of the infant care onto Sarah while she deals with the little girls. Next rotation, of course, they'll have to have Gerry and Uncle Martin's family over. Which won't be chaotic at all. Good thing it'll be Sunday and Josh won't have to work; except after buying a a fire alarm and groceries they have only about 200 dollars, and who knows what disaster they'll need to spend money to recover from tomorrow?

All you can do is the best you can do.

Week four still, and much has happened since my last post.

Leila Girard and her live-in boyfriend Owen got engaged and are making final preparations for the wedding at their newly renovated house. Nadia couldn't delay her departure to Academie Le Tour any longer, but the house is full enough with the happy couple and three children--not only has little Chantale grown into a chubby-cheeked toddler, but Owen's extra funds helped the family get Lapis and Ramses back from child services. (Ramses celebrated the occasion by building a snowman with devil horns.) Both children are having fun with their new Easy Bake Oven, as much fun as eating burnt muffins can be. Leila's thinking about trying to get them into private school once the wedding is over, and it's a good thing she'll be doing the cooking.

Things haven't really changed much for Hue Ji, Greenbriar Coast's own Korean Renoir. She's still climbing her way to culinary fame, and if she ups her skills a little more she'll make it. In the mean time, painting is a good way to get her creative juices flowing, but she hasn't found inspiration for her second big piece yet. (Her first is a stylized portrait of a girl in hanbok with mainly pink tones that go well with her bedroom.) She's also been looking for a girlfriend since her college crush had major commitment issues, but her prospects don't look good; most of the women in the neighborhood are straight, and those few who aren't don't have good chemistry with Hue, making for a frustrating and fruitless search. She already tried the gypsy matchmaker once before; she took Hue's 5000 simoleons and paired her off with none other than Leila Girard who, though not exactly choosy about her sexual partners, is irrevocably straight. So the matchmaker probably isn't the best bet. There are a few vampires she hasn't met yet, those whom the head vampire has covertly bitten while my active sims were downtown; perhaps she should check out the nightlife.

One turn for the better, though, is Hue's change in image. She's had long hair ever since she can remember, and so as spring arrived she got a shorter, choppier style. And having established herself through the fame of her restaurant, she did away with the high-maintenance fabrics and got back into her jeans and sneakers. Maybe now that she's back in her comfort zone with her appearance, she'll have better chances of finding the girl of her dreams.

With Nova having moved out to attend Sim State University, the Werner household has much more space. Sonia is planning yet another renovation, this time for expanding Haru's bedroom into Nova's old room--she wants her boys to find their own place, but Umeko hasn't exactly been clear about Haru's after-college imperatives. Sonia and Umeko haven't gotten married yet, but already Sonia is pursuing other interests, beyond her own bid for fame in the culinary track. She rekindled an old flame with one of the college professors and picked up some stranger at a bar--and then met Umeko's ex-husband Kyo at the spa for a tryst--all while Umeko was at work one day. Umeko and Haru know nothing of this, as Sonia never brought these affairs home. Also, Umeko was more focused on skill-building, and it payed off as she became the CEO of her company. However, she still wants to earn more money and so has started work on her first novel, a sci-fi story about a diplomat from space who's come to warn the citizens of Earth about the treaty they must abide by now that they have nuclear weapons. She says it's like nothing anything any sim's ever read before.

Haru FINALLY got that redhead boy to go on a date with her after days of his refusals to even come to the house for a visit. She took him to Londoste to impress him with her family's wealth, and though she fumbled through dinner conversation and was too nervous to seize most opportunities to flirt with him, they ended up dancing and having a good time. And just when she realized he was feeling something too, he told her he'd had a great time and left. Just twenty seconds more and she would have kissed him--her first kiss. Was she ever going to get kissed?

Luckily her date came by the next day and rang her doorbell. She was so happy to see him that the momentum from their date kept up, and there on her doorstep in the night air they shared their first kiss...and their second, third, fourth...you get the picture. As much as she likes kisses, however, money is more attractive to Haru at the moment, and she turned her attention back to skill-building in preparation to fill her mother's shoes and become CEO of her own company one day.

Ironically, it was Sonia who brought home the 55,000 simoleons as a bonus, which payed for the new false garage with the dance floor, DJ booth, and bowling alley--Umeko's idea, of course.

At Sim State University, Nova Werner is already finding his niche, making friends and making people do his homework. However, much of his first semester has been spent critiquing his dorm-mates' fashion choices and advising them on rebuilding their image. The entire population of the dorm is starting to look better, but he still has a long way to go.

Non-play things: editing some careers and adding in chance cards. I've only managed to do up to level three of one career which doesn't have options, but I'm hoping to fill them all in at some point, even if it takes me a while. I'm also looking to develop some more NPC careers for my personal use.

-----

In-game: For Adamswater Ridge I sped through the second Bulger household, but then nothing of interest really happened. Youngest child Aston has his fifth birthday and is looking forward to going to school, although he'll be attending public school unlike his 'siblings' Tory and Stephanie. As Ashton's parents are both vampires he'll become on when he becomes an adult; half-sibling Tory didn't inherrit the vampire gene, and Stephanie just has two human parents, no supernatural genes there.

At the second Tabarez household, I'd completely forgotten that they had two toddlers (Cale and Louisa), and within a few hours I was reminded that Willie was pregnant yet again. This time, however, the culprit wasn't her boyfriend Eric but one of her numerous loves, Boyd Daniel . Willie went in to labor and had twins, a boy named Liam and a girl named Natalie -- both with the brown hair of their mother but tending towards the lighter skin and grey eyes of their biological father. Still, with Willie having similar eyes to Boyd, and older sister Louisa also having grey eyes, it shouldn't raise Eric's suspicions. The baby twins are shoved in to Eric and Willie's room because of lack of space, while the older siblings are in the tiny nursery. Eric and Willie will need to look in to moving before Louisa becomes a child because two beds and two cribs will be workable but frustrating in such a small house.

In the Feverstein-Meeker household, both Wendy and Nicky are working the way up their respective careers rather well, bringing in a fair amount of money each. Ruby, their eldest child, is a quintessential Pleasure sim with her wants: she seems to alternate between wanting to sneak out and wanting to throw parties. She is going steady with the local paper boy, but after Alex Fowler became a teen she has slightly more chemistry with him -- I'm debating who she might end up with. Over the weekend she rolled a want for a sports party and I indulged, inviting over every playable teen she knew, along with a couple of non-playables whom I knew were in relationships with playable as well as second year university students Logan Meeker and Chelsey Yard. Despite having ACR, ~20 sims and at least four couples, I didn't see anyone sneaking off to the bedroom for a quick woohoo.

Younger sibling Lex is still a toddler (wide age gap between him and Ruby: Ruby was born while their parents were still teens, while Lex was born after they graduated university and moved back home) and doing toddlery things. Ruby enjoys taking care of him, although I secretly wonder if taking care of her brother is warning her not to get pregnant.

At university in the Meeker-Yard household, Logan is still busy skilling up. He currently has the want to do his term paper, contrasting to Chelsey who is more concerned with making friends and becoming Big Sim on Campus (despite being Fortune, not Popularity). Chelsey's LTW is to own five top businesses, and she made a start by buying a small, 1x1 market stall and setting up some cheap art supplies back in the main 'hood. Currently her business is level 4, but a reviewer left a bad review cutting down on the customers that actually decide to shop there -- however, the people that do come through seem pleased with the business. Unfortunately, the business is about $3k in the red, which is bad news for the two of them: Chelsey spent quite a lot of scholarship money on getting the business functional, and if she can't turn a profit not only does it affect her LTW but it also affects her and Logan's after-university prospects (business not making money = no income = less money to buy a place with). I suspect half of the issue is the low cost merchandise being sold after the initial set-up costs.

I started my first owned business. Luz Ghote was a roadie when she turned elder, and she's too old to haul amps, so I told myself if she didn't get promoted her first day back from maternity leave, she'd retire and start a club. She didn't have enough money to do that when I made the decision, but her boy Lucas Iana left campus this rotation, and the plan is to have him marry his wealthy girlfriend Margaret and move into her family home, so his $20K handout might as well be used to set his Mama up. It effectively got her mind off pressuring him to get engaged, anyway - now instead of a stuck want for a relative to get engaged (and there's only him left) she's got one to earn a bronze sales badge. For story purposes, her friend in the music industry, Ben Aerius, is backing her.

The Hot Spot is a two-by-two lot on Entry Way, with an enclosed patio attached to a two-room building. In the front room there's a tiny bar (only two seats; no room for more), a darts game, and a pinball machine. The back room is the rest room. The patio, which will need an awning over it before the next spot of weather, has a game rig and couch, and instruments. Out front there's a chargeatron, set at "cheap" for now (after all, they're competing with Doc Alan's, which has no cover charge) and a photo booth. Some of these items are ones that Lucas brought back from campus while he was living at the frat. It seems like a good use for them. Luz's husband Billy was asleep when they went, and in any case they couldn't have left the toddler alone, but he has some date rewards he can add to the amenities. Their opening night was not spectacular, with most people trying the instruments and leaving, but I saw a couple of stars developing, and if that new townie I saw and couldn't gussy up is the business reviewer I don't see why anybody would trust her taste. With three adults in the family and such a small facility, they won't have to hire anybody for awhile; certainly not until Lucas lands his law job.

Toddler William Ghote is doing very well in that household - potty trained last rotation, learned to talk on this, and when the adults are busy he makes a beeline to his rabbit head. Billy had his sleazebag Romance nature well in check all day, going off to his job, in which he was recently demoted down to starting level, and at least not getting fired, and teaching William to talk. Leon the Chihuahua became an elder and is reconnecting with Lucas. Poor Leon has had Master tags with three different family members. He was Abuela's dog when they lived in the crappy apartment on Downmarket Street, then after she died Lucas took him over, then after Lucas went to college he finally acknowledged Luz as head of the family. William will cuddle him, but not as often as Leon wants him to. He tolerates Billy much as Luz's children by her first marriage do - if Luz really wants him around they'll deal.

The final house in the rotation before going back to Sim State is the Travelers. Trisha was platinum from her date with Julien Cooke and Tina was platinum from her awesome birthday party followed by making several friends. Trent had the day off and Trisha didn't, so she has time to pretend that woohooing Julien didn't change anything. Trent got the mechanical point he needs for his next promotion and also discovered his OTH of arts and crafts. Now all he wants to do is get Moar Creativity Points. Tina wanted to throw a sports party when she got home, so she did, including the tourist she brought home from school by not chasing her out. The guest list consisted of her best friend Cinnamon Beare (still a child till next rotation), Cinnamon's brother and Tina's near-friend Edward, friend that she wants for best friend Frank Munny, best friend Petra Ottomas, and non-friends the two oldest Ruben girls. Petra'd taken her on an outing with the Ruben girls, and Amanda had ignored her, so they were added to the guest list to make numbers and surprised us both by showing up. Probably because they want to get away from the smell of diapers.

Now, those of you actually reading and remembering my big blocks of text may recall that Frank was also on that outing, and Amanda had a bad conversation with him, possibly the first person ever to do so. Frank is the Munny boy the girls keep calling at home and spamming with attention on community lots, leaving his brother - who would actually appreciate the attention - languishing in the shade. I can see where they're coming from. He's friendly, he's got high nice points, he's a musician, the half-alien thing makes him exotic, and oh yeah, his family is the wealthiest in Drama Acres. Not Goth wealthy, but they could buy and sell the Diva and Mr. Big both. So I was tickled to see him putting up attraction hearts for Amanda all over the party while she insisted on doing most of her interactions with her sister and Petra. The guy who everybody wants who only wants the only girl who isn't interested is a classic. We'll see how it pays off.

After the party Trent and I made Tina do her homework, and then she went to check out the Hot Spot so I could see how it ran from the visitor's POV. Not bad. Luz alternated between tending bar and playing piano for tips (Tina tipped her $100). It was too late for other teens to show up, but a few townies and hobby people did. Mostly they liked the instruments, but Matthew Smith played darts and a couple of people got drinks. Tina was the only one who tried out the pinball machine or the video game rig. After Tina went home to bed, Trisha woke up in the middle of the night, wanting to meet new people, so I sent her out, too, and it was a little better populated at three in the morning than at midnight, including some playables. In any case I went back into the Ghote residence after finishing with the Travelers and they were almost a thousand dollars richer than when I'd left them, so that's a promising start. I can see where having playables choose it for a destination on their rotations is an important part of a successful sim business plan; but I'm a little worried about how quickly some of my poorer households could go bankrupt hanging around in the background of somebody else's outing at $27 a pop.

All you can do is the best you can do.

Peni - a note on spotting the reporters. It's very easy on lots with the bandanatron (ticket machine) because no matter the price they will always go up and buy a ticket with no debate or prompting needed. They're also always scribbling in notebooks after interactions (or lack of), the same animation as used by sims to restock items. I hope your efforts with owned businesses go well.

Thanks to many glitches and errors, I finally decided it was time to let my beloved BACC enter that Big Challenge Neighborhood In The Sky. I also decided to reboot it and start again! Woo! Using all my original founders (except Tabitha and Benjamin Kerr who bored me and were promptly replaced by Gen. 2 heir of my "Differences in the Family" Legacy, Thane Church and the hottest female sim ever born in my game, Britney Franklin as his wife). I also re-rolled whether the folks were creatures to start. Previously I had a vampire (Max Breckenridge), a werewolf (Austin Breckenridge) and a plantsim (Anne Denman) from the start. This time all three Breckenridge brothers are werewolves and Kristen Turner is a witch. Plus I broke out the original houses that I'd packaged when I first built them (I hate building houses!) so when I rolled for everybody's starting funds, I moved them into the housing they could afford. This resulted in a few folks ending up in different starting houses (the Denman's living in the old Turner house) but for the most part my simmies were even in their original abodes. It was a load of fun watching how things unfolded differently this time.

ORIGINALLY: Anne Denman and Max Breckenridge triple bolted while Max's other triple bolter, Kristen Turner, looked on sadly since she had no chemistry with anybody else and Max was all about Anne.
THIS TIME: Kristen went after Max right away and Anne proceeded to ACR with Max's brother Christopher with whom she only has one bolt. Max also started making out with Lacey Denman immediately after woohooing with Kristen while she was in the kitchen eating a sandwich.

ORIGINALLY: Bryan Turner hit it off with Lacey Denman but was killed in a fire the first time I played his lot. Lacey died shortly thereafter.
THIS TIME: Bryan and Carly Denman made out at the gathering, woohooed during the first day at her home lot and he then proceeded to ACR with Lacey during the first five minutes of play at his home lot.

ORIGINALLY: Madison Everett and Austin Breckenridge had two lovely twin daughters together while he also knocked up several other women. Then Madison moved in and they had a son.
THIS TIME: They still have double bolt chemistry but can't have a decent conversation to save their lives. I imagine they'll likely end up together anyway, thanks to ACR.

Since the Kerrs were replaced, there was nothing new to report. Thane and Britney Church are restarting a "Differences in the Family" legacy type thing. Not an actual legacy and I'm not keeping score or anything, but I'm following a quasi-set of challenge rules. First rule - generation 1 must farm. This works out nicely for the BACC rules I'm following since they'll likely end up supplying the town. In honor of them not being part of the original set of founders, their lot is also set apart from the rest of the town in an area of the map a bit closer to water which made sense to me at the time. I think these two are going to be my favorites.

When their numbers dwindled from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect...Hungry

Alrighty, I decided to bring back the Forsythe family, just a different way. In regards to that, lets start with the main family

Marcus: Father and now grandfather. Star Sign: Gemini. Married to Lilly.

Lilly: Mother, and now grandmother. Star Sign: Aquarius. Married to Marcus.

Iris: Daughter of Lilly and Marcus. Star Sign: Aquarius.

Ursula: Daughter of Lilly and Marcus. Star Sign: Pisces. Younger sister of Iris.

Vex: Daughter of Ursula. Star Sign: Aries.

Viktoria: Daughter of Ursula. Star Sign: Cancer. Younger sister of Vex.

Vex and Viktoria are teens now, A+ students, and in Private School. They also have jobs. Yeah talk about awesome, lol. They are getting ready to depart to College, and start their Young adult lives. Vex being a Romance Sim, wants to Woohoo with 20 different Sims. Not sure how that may turn out. As for her sister, Viktoria a Fortune Sim wants to rise to the top of a certain Career, that I can not for some reason remember. I am sure they'll have amazing time at College (even if the College is long winded).

They had hired a maid, guess who? Kaylynn. Ursula found an instant attraction, and amazingly, so did Kaylynn (Proof Kaylynn is bi, because they didn't even flirt with each other). And oddly enough, they had three bolts. Even if Kaylynn's turn ons were: Glasses, and Grey Hair. Her turn off is: Brunettes. And Ursula doesn't wear glasses or have grey hair. But whatever. So after four days of Kaylynn spending time with Ursula, Ursula got the courage to flirt with Kaylynn, and they instantly fell in love with each other. So, Ursula and Kaylynn went a few dates, before Ursula proposed to Kaylynn. Kaylynn and Ursula both have positive memories of getting engaged, and soon they were married. They went on their honeymoon, were they made love for the first time. And their honeymoon ended up being amazing.

By this time, Marcus and Lilly have moved out, giving the new family the place to themselves. Though Iris still lives with her sister. Vex and Viktoria both like their new step-mom.

In a different household, Dina popped the question to Mortimer, but after a few days thinking about it. They began to fight, and Dina broke it off. But don't worry, Mortimer has his eyes on Brandi

So that is what is going on in my game, as of now.

Figures. Just when I was going to move on from Dirk and Lilith's house to the next house on rotation, Lilith has to get pregnant through ACR. From the icon, it looked like Dirk was trying for baby. Luna is a toddler and is pretty close to being a child so she should be child before her little sibling is born.

Angela and Dustin haven't had any more kids, and Bethany also is a toddler and pretty close to being a child. Daniel and Mary Sue have been hanging on a long time as elders, and their bars aren't even close to being filled.

Darren and Cassandra's daughter Anna is now a teen and went steady with Brandi Broke's son Gregory who also just became a teen. Eric Dreamer is a child, and has been rolling wants to be friends with Brandi's daughter Julie.

Lilly Burb is now a child and has been coming home from school a lot with Eric Dreamer and Julie Broke.

Lucy graduated from college and married Alexander Goth. I used SimPE to remove Mortimer's relationship with Dina Caliente, so Alexander and Lucy will take over the Goth Mansion with Mortimer dies (which is pretty soon).

I played a little in Strangetown - the Newsons. They're not having any easier time the second time around, but if Gavin and Ginger can hang on for two more days, the twins will become children and everything will get better. If I can keep Gavin alive that long...Ginger met Tank at the pool and noogied him. Poor Tank. What is it about him that makes him such a noogy magnet?

Then I played the Hippy Travellers, where Tina was platinum from making friends with Sharla and both parents were in the dangerously low green. Trent is easy because all he wants are skills and badges, but Trisha wanted friends and a party and she wanted them NOW. So I figured what the hey and had her throw a party for all the playables she'd met and a couple of walk-by townies. Nervous, Dora Ottomas, Lola, Pascal, Ginger Newson, and David Ottomas - I wasn't sure whether she'd get Ginger and David since it was in school hours, but they came and got along great, which I hope will make Ginger easier to play next time I get back to her. Too bad for her he's gay. I haven't been able to get her to meet Rip yet. I wasn't expecting everybody to show up, since she has no friends at all yet, and was concerned about the viability of a party in their crowded trailer lot, but with a boom box, poor man's hot tub, and TV it turned out okay, despite some conflict over their bathroom. I hadn't realized before how much I rely on having a huge bank of Influence points available - she could introduce people, but she couldn't make them talk to each other, and she had to do her own pranking.

Then on to Sim State at Drama Acres. When I last left that neighborhood, Marsha Hawkins had invited Jeremiah Gavigan to move in to Alma Mater House, and this time Ted invited Harriett Hawkins to move in to Scholarship House, so now both sets of double beds in both houses are claimed. Much to Theodora's annoyance. She got a call from her previous night's date, which didn't quite get to woohoo due to, ahem, timing issues (she's got to get better at this, she reflects. You can bet Harriett never let Ted have timing issues!) and she hasn't woohooed in bed yet. So she went out, with Harriett at class and Ted talking to the parrot in the hall. When she brought her date home, he was upstairs - relaxing on the bed! She chased him out. "C'mon, don't be a dog in the manger! Harriett isn't even here."
"She will be soon and you better be done by then. And change the sheets afterward!" (They didn't - Theodora never makes beds.)

Earlier in the day, Harriett was taking a shower and I found Ted in there using the "View" action to admire a deco towel rack. Yeah, Ted, I'm sure it's the towels you were admiring...

When Ted called Harriett I went ahead and invited household, including Dominic Estic-Moiselle, who hadn't officially moved in yet. I was curious to see whether he'd show up as a teen or as a YA, but in the event he didn't show up at all. When I played Alma Mater House I found him all grown up on the curb, and in a tolerable outfit, too, though really fat boys shouldn't wear the western shirt. Mostly I like how he matured, but those neck bolts he calls jaws are worse than ever.

All you can do is the best you can do.

From looking at SimPE Dirk and Lilith's daughter second daughter won't be a clone of Luna, but I kind of wanted a boy instead of another girl. Phoebe was born, and I exited to look at her personality. Phoebe was born about 12 hours after Luna became a child.

Angela and Dustin's daughter Bethany became a child, and Angela and Dustin became Permaplat from reaching the top of their careers. Daniel and Mary Sue also became Permaplat from reaching the top of their careers, and I'm trying to decide if I should have them retire.

The Church Family
Thanks to Madison and Max's inability to stop beating each other up, an opening in the Law career was achieved. Thane Church had a want for it during the first day at his lot so I decided he could have the job. I have a set of education requirements for various levels of the careers, though, to make things more difficult (i.e: fun) and realistic (no more doctors right out of high school!) so Thane has to get an associate's degree in order to enter the career but he won't be able to move beyond level 1 without additional education (and therefore more money). An associate's degree costs $5000 so he dug in the yard till he got it and then sent it on to town founder Madison and then hunkered down and started studying. Associate's Degree = 20 skill points. Meanwhile, Britney became pregnant with twins (so glad I took out the Trips and Quads hack or I'd be sweating bullets since Thane was the result of quads attacking in my previous BACC incarnation). Thane also made me slightly concerned when he started autonomously tickling Kristen Turner. He and Britney only have 1 bolt but he and Kristen have 2. Guess we'll see...

The Everett Family
As I predicted, Madison and Austin fell in love. Madison has a locked want to get engaged but since Austin is a romance sim, I'm doubting he'll agree and I'm being very picky this time. Nobody has babies unless at least one party has a want (so all women are on birth control) and nobody gets married/engaged/etc. unless both parties have a want. I think one of the things that killed this BACC the last time was over-breeding so I won't be making the same mistake twice. She got to level 2 of the political career but since nobody has bothered maxing mechanical yet, it'll be a while before electricity is unlocked therefore I'm not in any rush to promote her further just so she can stall and have to wait.

The Breckenridge Family
I had to make Max fall in love with Kristen via a cheat. Seriously, I think something is glitched because I've been having this weird issue where half the couple falls in love easy and the other half has 100/100 relationship and a crush but no love unless I cheat. Strange. Anyway, his secondary knowledge aspiration clicked in and he immediately wanted to study cooking. I was expecting engagement wants, but c'est la vie. Austin worked on his toymaking badge and Chris painted. I'm still trying to figure out their secondary aspirations. I randomly roll the primary but secondary is based on their general personalities/wants. I'm thinking Austin might be secondary family since those tend to be the ones that want toymaking badges and he rolled for that autonomously. Chris seems to be pleasure, but we'll see.

The Denman Family
Lacey continued her quest for a gold floristry badge. She also has a locked want to become engaged to Bryan Turner despite the fact that (A) he's a romance sim and (B) he's also sleeping with her sister, Carly. Anne struggled to increase her fun skill enough to work on her second children's novel. Carly just pleasure-simmed it with the bubble blower after she tended the garden (she IS the nature enthusiast, after all).

The Turner Family
Kristen continued her tendency to focus on one skill for a while and then change her mind and want another one. This time she was all about the cleaning skill. She also decided she'd really like to marry Max. Guess we'll see how he's feeling about it at his house next round. Bryan decided he agreed with his sister that a career in Oceanography is just the ticket so he started working on his gold fishing badge. Lacey and Carly came over and he took turns "entertaining" them before turning in for the night around 3am.

When their numbers dwindled from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect...Hungry

It's been quite a few months since I lasted posted because where I live now I'm without internet.

Anyways, in case no one remembers my Greenfoot Legacy. I'll recap rather quickly.
Antigone is the legacy founder married Michael, who was elderly. They had three children together: Butterfly (f), Bayo (m), and Boss (m). Antigone had an affair with Sheldom the male man and had daughter Bliss right after she had Bayo.

Butterfly married Conleo Jack and had five children: (twins) Chrysler (f), Cadillac (m), Chevy (f), Cobra (f), and Corvette (f). As you can see--- Conleo has an obsession with cars. lol.

Bayo married Aliannah, and they had four children: Calipari (m), Caitlyn (f), Craig (m), and Claire (f).

Bliss married Maxwell, they had five daughters!: Catniss, Cleo, Chandra, and fraternal twins: Camille & Candi.

Lastly, Boss married Brandi LeTournie? and had three children: Courtney (f), Coraline (f), and Cadence (m). Unfortunately, one night a lighting struck a tree and killed Courtney, Brandi (who was pregnant), and Chrysler--- but Boss managed to save Brandi and Chrysler's life. Not an hour after the accident occurred baby Cadence was born.

Chrysler lives with her uncle Boss because she has relationship issues with younger sister Chevy, and she enjoyed being close with Nana Antigone.

Unfortunately, Antigone passed away just a few hours ago.
Now, the only thing that bothers me is where I'm going to move all 16 of Antigone's grandchildren!?! I already decided the youngest child will stay at their current home. Still that leaves me with 12. Yikes. I hate when the baby-boom happens.

After mishandling I had to start all over again, it all starts today, I just created a few characters, I'm pretty happy, I think their life will be quiet ... or not

and finally I created myself, my idol BRITNEY SPEARS

Week four, and Nova Girard is in his second semester at Sim State University. After pulling an extreme makeover on all of his hallmates, Nova declared a major in political science (in preparation for law school), made some friends, and gained some influence, which he used to make others write his term papers while he chilled and built skills he'd always been curious about. He made Dean's List first semester by doing this and attending class once. He celebrated by throwing a sports party, to which he invited Emir and Nadia Girard, but only Emir showed up. Things worked in Nova's favor, despite the absence of 50% of his invited guests; one of his hallmates, a girl named Ana whom Nova had previously befriended and made over (and thank goodness!), joined in the festivities. One thing led to another, ultimately leading to Nova and Ana's own little party of two in Nova's bed. (After he nearly had an encounter with his stepsister in his mother's bed, he certainly didn't waste any time getting that experience in college. Oy.)

Again using his influence to get his homework done and attending a single class, Nova ensured he would pass his second semester with flying colors. He made friends with his professor, Rocky Barrett, anyway--Popularity sims want to be friends with everyone--which didn't hurt his grades in any case. The semester half over and his grades maxed out, Nova decided it was time to experience the nightlife downtown. He worked as the DJ at the Crypt 'O Night Club for some extra money, and then a woman from downtown caught his eye. He asked her on a date, which they spent talking, playing around, dancing, taking photos together (moments after pertinent events in the final paragraph of this post), and generally having a good time. It was a dream date, and Nova had such fun that he asked her on another. A short time into the date, Nova's new friend got bitten by the head vampire. It didn't put a damper on things until he asked her back to his place for a more intimate time together (as intimate as a dorm room can be, anyway); when they got there, the sun came up and Nova's little girlfriend had to run for her life. However, Nova is confident he will see her again.

In other news, Owen Cobb, soon to be Owen Girard, has been floating around in the background whenever my other playable sims go downtown. He's been seen flirting and making out with the same sim Nova recently dated, and he woo-hooed in a photobooth with another downtownie completely out of the blue in my last session. Let's hope Leila doesn't find out, or this may turn out to be a repeat of her previous marriage.

The relationship between Emilio Casa and Lily Pond blew up last night. Not because of what he's doing with Theodora, oh no. Cow mascot incident, and he's mad at her. But will it be jackass macho mad like his brother Estebanico?

Or sweet gentlemanly angsty mad like his frat brother Luis?

Only play will tell.

Heidi McAuley, the dormie that Amber Dawn, future criminal mastermind, asked to pledge Tri-Var, moved in. She has a silver cosmetology badge and her LTW is to become Captain Hero! I think she's from the wrong side of the tracks, earned money to come to college working in her mama's beauty parlor, and has never spoken her dream aloud. Amber had been planning to go forward with her plan to love Tommy Ottomas and leave him, but after Margaret Estic Invited Household on Alma Mater House to introduce her nephew Dominic to her sorority sisters, she got into a fight with George Hawkins (the nephew of Sparrow Hawkins, the woman her fiance secretly pines for) and suddenly her wants panel was full of wants for Alon. So she invited him over and I left them to themselves. Next time I checked she was wanting to drag him to bed. Not often a Knowledge sim takes herself to a woohoo want without any intervention from me, but perhaps it would happen more if I free-ranged them more.

Over at La Fiesta Tech, my efforts to connect up all the playable households have had the odd side effect of allowing Klara Vonderstein to make Johnny Smith fall in love with her. They have no chemistry and I've had no input into this - Johnny flirted her on his own once, and since then she's been aggressively pursuing him every time she's uncontrolled. They made out on the steps to the Worthington residence and a red heart went up, but only from him - she's still at crush level. This is without the spring erotic boost, too, which isn't available in Strangetown/LFT because I set the seasons to three summers and a winter. Francis J. and Jasmine Rai also finished falling in love on their own, but I did have him ask her out once so that's not as surprising.

All you can do is the best you can do.

It's cute when it happens, but it doesn't happen very much in my game.

Cassandra started a fire on the stove, but thankfully the fireman got there in time to put it out. Eric became a teen, and Darren and Cassandra are a few days away from Elder. Cassandra became permaplat from getting to the top of the Education career, so she and Darren will be permaplat when they reach elder.

Brandi's daughter Julie became a teen, and I think this is the first time in this Pleasantview that Brandi doesn't have a toddler or child running around.

Cadillac married Sophie M. and they have two daughters: Deanna and Darcy. (Can you tell I watched Pride and Prejudice last night?)

twin sister, Chrysler married Orlando Centowski and they have one daughter: Dana. Chrysler is expecting another child.

Their mother, Butterfly had her final baby--- Challenger, a day before she became an elder. lol.

John and Jennifer Burb both reached permaplat, and their born in game daughter Lilly became a teenager. John came home from work with a promotion, permaplat status and the flu. Since his hunger was full I had him go to bed to make him healthy again. He has the ability to make Grandma's Comfort Soup, but he tends to burn things when he cooks. Jennifer's cooking skill is high from reaching the top of the Journalism career, but since she's a Fortune Sim without a secondary she can't make Comfort Soup.

I'm trying to figure out when I want to sent Anna Dreamer and Gregory Broke to college.

Edit

Since no one posted after me and double posts are frowned on, I'm going to edit this.

Lucy Burb married Alexander Goth, and they now have a daughter named Isabel. Mortimer Goth died of old age several hours after Lucy gave birth to Isabel. I was surprised to see that Isabel was listed among the Sims that inherited money from Mortimer. Alexander and Cassandra got the most and Dina got the least. (I removed Mortimer's relationship from Dina in SimPE, so she got 325 when Mortimer died. Even thought Isabel is a baby, she got 1,225 from her grand father.)

Well, during my last two playing rotations in Townie Place, sims there noticed that there have been a lot of robberies, some of which end up with nothing being stolen.

However, things are not as normal as they should be in the Phillippine's household, since the last burglar that came into the house, mysteriously met the teen daughter of the couple living there. Susan is enemies with burglar (I forgot his name), and resents him for what he did, although h did not steel anything but he did wake everyone up. He probably ruined her beaty sleep, so that's why she hates him.

One afternoon, the phone rang, Naenae answered the phone, and it was the same burglar, he asked for Susan, Naenae's daughter, her mother was terrified and enraged and told him that she is not around and that he will never be able to talk to her again! I freaked out when he called. When he was caught by the police, before he was hand-cuffed, he waved and smiled at Susan, which was, again, scary. Her father yet, doesn't know about that.

I think I'm having a vision of a 'Murder in Townie Place' or 'Female teen went missing and Burglar escaped prison, a connection?' newspaper headlines. OH NO! Has Townie Place lost its security and serenity?

Alvin Patch, the last Elder resident to be found in TP (Townie Place) has passed away, due to old age, on the day he got promoted to a high school teacher (I think).

Anyway, moving on to Townie Place University, where four new families/households are added to the college, of which all are townies and tourist, and the infamous, Sophie Miguel now resides there too, with her boyfriend, who she is going steady with. All is well, well, for now...

That burglar thing is fairly common. A burglar broke into one of my on-campus residences, and then started calling and asking to speak to one of the residents every single night at 6:30 sharp. Which was inconvenient, as that's also about when you get callbacks from dream dates. He continued calling every day long after that student had graduated. Since getting my game back after the hard drive crash, though, he hasn't done it. Possibly the neighborhood reset fixed it.

You may find, if you don't have Cyjon's hack to fix it, that everybody in the family starts making friends with the burglar after the furiousness decays. This is also normal - they screwed up that bit of coding and never fixed it.

All you can do is the best you can do.

I think the one Peni was referring to was Hate Burglars, but when I went just now to Cyjon's website to get the link, it looks like Cyjon has replaced Hate Burglars with a new one:

http://drupal.cyjon.net/node/446 called Fury Initialization Fix the date is April 30, 2012 so it is a new one.

Thanks, Orilon! I meant to come back and look that up again (since all my links got lost in the hard drive crash) but now you've saved me the trouble and also told me there's an update. It's important to have Cyjon's site bookmarked, even if you're not interested in his mods, as he's done a lot of number crunching that will help you when a mechanic has you stumped or you're just curious about how something works.

Life progresses calmly at Sim State at the moment. Daisy Wheels is definitely interested in Tommy Ottomas, and after she invited him over for dinner and gave him a hello kiss he seemed to be pretty interested in her, too. The new girl at the sorority, Heidi McAuley, gave him a makeover at Margaret Estic's toga party and almost all the girls are interested in the cosmetology chair, with wants to earn badges. I like Heidi quite a bit so far - she's cute and perky and has useful skills, but not overwhelming amounts of them. Once again, random chance is my friend. Emilio Casa is still furious at Lily Pond and she has no idea why, but his attempt to go out to the Hot Spot, owned by graduated frat brother Lucas Iana's mother, to get plastered was hampered by her refusal to tend bar. He and the underclassmen he took with him had to take turns getting each others' drinks. Daisy Wheels's twin Helen is effortlessly making friends with Guy Gergis, the youngest Tricou bastard. Dominic Estic-Moiselle, who went steady with Theodora for awhile in high school, dropped by Scholarship House and Ted Ottomas invited him in, thinking that maybe a nice steady guy like Dominic was what Theodora needed to settle her down, but their chemistry is bad these days and when she finished sophomore year (this bunch is hitting the junior mark already? Wow, they've been playing fast!) she had no motivation to change her aspiration. I don't think any of the upcoming juniors do.

Don't worry, I'm sure there'll be more drama soon.

All you can do is the best you can do.

You're welcome. I have Cyjon's site bookmarked because I use quite a few of his mods, and didn't know that Hate Burglars was updated until I went to get the link. I used Hate Burglars, so that let me know I needed to update my mods.

Anna Dreamer and Gregory Broke went to college and are all over each other, so I think that they will eventually roll the want to get engaged. They went to class, but I haven't gotten much further in their college life because I had some things I needed to do in the main hood.

Eric Dreamer and Julie Broke went on their first date, with Brandi keeping an eye on her daughter the whole time (when Eric and Julie started their date, Brandi showed up on the downtown park lot and went to play chess with a townie.) Eric and Julie got their first kiss from each other and went steady. When Eric got home, Darren and Cassandra went on a vacation. They both rolled the want, and since Eric is now a teen they could go and not need to worry about taking care of a kid. They went to Three Lakes and had a great vacation.
