Hey! For all you friendly facebookers, join this group for people angry about Spore being pushed further away from our hungry fingers...: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2431019458 That great thing is, if you don't agree and are planning on buying Spore regardless of having to wait, well, the leader of the group (me) plans on doing the same thing!! lol |

This really should have gone in the thread we already have on Spore. Oh well... I have to say I find the concept of the group unusual. EA wants Spore out ASAP as it will make them a LOT of money and The Sims 2 cash-cow is getting ready to go out to pasture. If the game is not ready why on Earth would you want it to come out? Game delays are a reason to be dissapointed, not angry. Unless of course you had invested in Ion Storm and were waiting patiently for Daikatana to release and make back your money. But that's a different story and Will Wright has never called anyone his bitch. :P |

*** Games Journalist with the magazines PC Powerplay and Hyper *** And guys don't say a game is 'addicting'. That is a horrible massacre of the English language. The word is 'addictive'. Thank you. :) |

Considering the group is meant to be playful and for people who are, as you say, disappointed, then I think its a pretty swell time for all involved, and even those not involved. Right? Right! |

I don't know if every one is aware of this, but this news if out of EA about spore and it isn't good. Quote:
As far as I can find as why a delay, two reasons seem to come up looking. One is programing problems. They are having problems getting the game to work right. The other is financial. EA saw a loss larger then they liked and had to delay some titles for a while. Spore was one of them. | |

IGN Interview here says the game is in Alpha, fully playable and that is not gonna be long after April 08. There's too many great games coming out this year anyway. They will easily take me through to mid '08. Dunno what your group will acheive but good luck with it

It's Facebook. You don't really need a point. Look at all the groups I joined. ^_^ |
