As the title says, post the things you became attached to "in the beginning" and what your Sims, houses, interior design, landscaping, community lots and businesses, etc. look like now...and all the ones in between.

I wish I had saved the pictures of my ugly old Sims! But I look forward to seeing what people contribute to this tread.

EDIT: Here we go, I pulled out my oldest Sims 2 pictures and my newest Sims 2 picture.

Oldest (he's the same guy in both pictures):

Newest:

I think the biggest difference are the skins used. I now reserve really pale skin tones for only a few Sims in my neighborhoods, and try to put darker skins on all the others, it's just more realistic and represents were I've grown up better.

Second is the backgrounds, I actually play with my Sims now, instead of dressing them up, turning off free will and forcing them into poses with motives locked. So, I think, the backgrounds are more.. ::shrug:: Lived in?

I used to create all 'one face type' sims. Since then I've definately grown in diversity with my sims and just all round created better ones. and by the look of it my graphics have improved too :P

I'd rather be dead than cool.

Oldest pic I could find (December of '05)-

And one of my current faves (created December of '07)-

Also note the graphical difference, lol.

This is from 2 years ago, the girls are Stephanie and Sarah.
Their parents used to be my favorite sims, until I lost them.

..and From about a week ago! Jinx and Bail<3

Well, I see that my graphics have magically gotten better.
I still like semi-big lips, slanted eyes.. etc. I don't see a big change at all.
Just in the skintones, eyes, and hair choices

I though this thread was about sims from Sims 1 recreated in sims 2 xD. I would love to see that too.

Sadly, I don't have much pics from the beggining, mostly because I didn't know how to take decent pictures.

Oooohhhh, this is neat. I don't really have any old pics though... I might be able to find some from like... last year sometime?

-EDIT-

This is the oldest pic of a sim I made that I could find.

This is the newest.

Perhaps you could consider turning this thread into a NOW and THEN thread for all sorts of Simming, like houses, now and then or Sims 1 to Sims 2 now and then?

I have some pics to share about those!

:-)

I edited the first post to include everything (Sims, houses, rooms, landscaping, etc). So feel free to share pictures other than just before/after Sims.

Wow, TingTong, what an improvement! At first glance, that last pic looks like a shot from an interior design magazine. And of course, I'm always at awe with your pools.

Sim Sample then:

Sim Sample now:

The only difference is that he has the Bon Voyage lip ring now, instead of a painted on one! He even has the same outfit, early KnightSkyKite.

Early Sim (she won a contest, you know!):

Sims from current hood- hardly any custom content these days, I've slimmed down! I'm back to Maxis skintones, too.

Alrighty. This is going to be embarrassing. I was SUCH a bad builder. (Still not great, gotta sweat bullets with the process):

This the first house I built in the Sims, for my gay weird scientist Sim, Rufus Jeffries:

Note the huge roof and rectangular shaping with zero variety.

and the Mayor's Manor, Hayward Hall that I finished just last month.

JadeEliott, Very well done on the updating!

Zaggytiddies, The graphics have really been updated same as the CC.

TingTong, Very good job on the modern home. The old house isn't that bad.
