I don't see why not. It's not like it's modeling competition or beauty contest. It really doens't rely on the sim, just more so what you do with it.

I don't know about installing it...could there be downloads of musical instruments without the need of that expansion pack? If so, go ahead and do that, though it's really up to you.

ok i might do something darker. what genre would bands like alice in chains fall under? I love my music but have no idea about genre's anymore there's just too many. what happened to when it used to be just heavy metal, pop, rock, country, opera and classical or am i just showing my age :P

alice in chains is something grungey heavy metalish. probably heavy metal.
