I really hate how when you go to a downtown lot at 4 and stay out until 1 am you're exhausted and have to sleep, but when you come back home it's still 4 pm. Is there a hack that makes the clock keep ticking while you're on a community lot, regardless if you have sims back home?

I don't know of a hack, but I open the cheat bar (cntrl+shift+c) and enter:
sethour XX where XX is the hour you want. For 1am enter 01. For 4pm you would enter 16.

or you could use the insim and use that to turn the time up to w/e u want it to b i use that method

There is a mod for this. What happens is that when a sim returns home from a comm lot, they disappear off the lot for a while and you get to play all the other residents until it is time for the sim to return, at which time they walk in from one of the portals.

So there is no mod for no clock rewind, but there is one that will allow you to catch up the other sims so that they get played for the same amount of time as the sim that went to a comm lot. If you would be interested in this mod, I can look around, see if I can find it again.
