Imagine my shock and awe when I go onto my favorite game sites and see that the Collectors Edition has already been released since the 27th here in Switzerland! What!? Not just one of them, but every single one of them. Only one of them is a online site. The other 3 are major chain stores!

I am heading out now to see if I can take some pictures of one in the stores. I preordered mine , so I will have to wait! I am almost tempted to buy one anyway and send the other one back! Our mailmen/women do not deliver packages on Saturday , so that means I would have to wait until Tuesday to get it, because Monday is a holiday here!

If I find one I will take a pic of it and post it ASAP!

ps. Here is a link to one of the shops that has it for sale. As I said this is one of the largest chain stores in Switzerland, so I do not think its a big secret anymore! In Switzerland the day comes before the month and the page is in German; but you can see where they have "Veröffentlichung" that means release date.

Recently Europeans always seem to get new Sims games ahead of time even though they're not supposed to, I'm not surprised.

Switzerland has almost always had it before the UK and most of Central Europe. Don't forget that we are not in the EU, so maybe we get to slip and slide through that way.

I am just as surprised as anybody! I didnt even check the sites for a week or so. So now I am heading out to see if it truly is availiable . I will let you know.

Since our games are produced here , there is really nothing except fairness to others that stops them from releasing it early.

I read a thread here in the forum from the States michigan I think, where someone already has the game. So they are out somewhere in the states. Don't dispair.

I probably won't find one in the stores since its been out two days already. What is strange is that they limited the early release date to the Collectors Edition. Hmmmm

Lucky! I'm in the UK and have to wait until June 5th. I really don't understand why the UK is one of the last countries in which games are released. Okay, the US is earlier because it is created there, but why do other European countries get it early?

Oh well.

Call me Kay please :)

It's not SUPPOSED to be out anywhere in the states. Some clerk in one store never got the memo about release dates.

The whole "street date" arrangement must be some kind of legal contract... maybe it doesn't apply in Switzerland We already know they have different banking rules!

Ok the last sentence was totally off topic and uncalled for! And yes we do have different banking rules as a sovereign nation!
