Round II. http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...sx/Samantha.jpg Samantha Riley, better known to her friends as Sam, is a proud granddaughter of the first PlantSim to inhabit Pleasantville. Sam has always felt at home outdoors, and can’t remember a time she wasn’t out watering roses or trimming a shrub. Samantha also loves giving back to the local parks and gardens and has faithfully volunteered at the annual planting of daisies at City Hall since she was four years old. Her most recent gesture has been, with the help of her parents and various other helpers, to restore a once garbage filled piece of land downtown to a thriving park. It is now suitable for grown-ups and children alike, and we all have Samantha to thank for this. http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...71_3748c598.jpg Dane Miller has always been well-loved by teachers and his piers alike. Some think this is not due to his charm or wit, but because he is famous heir of the richest man in Pleasantville, Frederick Miller. He’s always received straight A’s and honors in all subjects, and Dane has recently been the recipient of the coveted Pleasantville High’s Chess Master trophy. He coached his team to victory, and displays his prize not at school where many other’s are open to public viewing, but in his own bedroom where he can stare at it’s loveliness before he drifts off to sleep every night. http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...rkneyesx/D2.jpg Diego Romero was born in Brazil, but has lived in Pleasantville since he was two year old. Diego, since he came to the city at such a young age, speaks perfect English while his parents speak only words that are necessary for living in the large, English speaking town. This first gave him the idea to start a study group, and realizing how many other Sims were having a difficult time with the new language caused him to open up his group to all of Pleasantville. Diego prefers one-on-one teaching, and his “students” seem to learn much easier and faster when there are fewer people to distract them. So far Diego has successfully helped nearly a hundred other Sims finally grasp the English Language. http://i594.photobucket.com/albums/...eyesx/Group.jpg This group shot was taken in the park Samantha recently refurbished. Everyone felt it was important to be photographed doing their own particular passion. |

April - Samantha Riley
![]() Every weekend Sam goes back to the playground and garden that she and some students help restore to look after the plants and make sure everything is ok. After she has finished, Sam has a little fun. May - Dane Miller ![]() Dane loves nothing like a good game of chess. It can so many things at once and different things for different people - some improves concentration, some logic, others feel relaxed. Chess is just amazing. June - Diego Romero ![]() Diego giving Mr Aspir tips on how to pronounce those difficult English words. Parents like attending Diego's lessons as he is always calm, patient and friendly. Group Shot ![]() Here are the students being super stars in a band. They all had fun even if some of them couldnt sing or play the instruments very well. |

Samantha Riley is a lovly young lady who spends her weekends helping to turn an old junkyard into a nice serene place where children can play. She is a member of the SimCity's Compassionate Kids - Volunteering committee. Her goal is to help turn run down and old buildings and sights into places that people can enjoy. http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/...Snapshot-34.jpg You can find Dane Miller competing in any chess tournament. He has travelled all over the country to compete and has won over 300 tournaments already. His older brother taught him to play at the age of 10 and he plans on teaching his children how to play too someday.Dane has early admissions to Harvard,Stanford, and Yale University. http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/...Snapshot-36.jpg Diego Romero moved here from Costa Rica not too long ago,and has learned to speak english very fluently. He now teaches adults and senior-citizens to speak english. http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/...creenshot-2.jpg Here are the January-June Star students so far. http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/...Snapshot-38.jpg |

Round 2 clw8 ---- ---- ![]() Meet Samantha Riley. Samantha enjoys turning deserted, deprived, and junky spaces into clean, safe, play areas for local children and teens. She is motivated by the smiling faces and laughter she gets from kids at the finished parks when she visits them. Samantha is pictured here at her latest developed park. For her hard work and devotion toward the happiness of others, Samantha Riley was given the April slot in the calendar. ---- ![]() Meet Dane Miller. Dane loves chess, as one can tell. He is quite competitive while playing, but after the fact is one of the nicest people one could ever know. He is extremely good at what he does and has won many competitions. Making his friends and family very proud, Dane Miller happily accepted to represent May. ---- ![]() Meet Diego Romero. Diego is a star in his own way. What he does for others is quite remarkable for someone his age. Knowing more about the English language then a lot of natives, Diego easily teaches others all there is to know to be able to succeed. This is Diego teaching a class just recentely, and made a perfect addition to the calendar representing June. ---- ![]() Here is January through June. These are the young individuals that gracefully represent everything that they do wonderfully. *Note that this is two pics merged, because my "larger household" type mod didn't work out, and spawning a neighbor didn't either. Next time I'll just have to make smaller households *---- ---- clw8 |

Oh no !!! I do have troubles to add the groupshot to my round II since three of the six star students just dissapeared in the family bin. I moved them there so I could reunite them with the first three students but they never landed in the bin, they are just gone. Edit: OK I made them again and did the picture I wanted, however now I see I gave them the wrong hair. Well its late and I am tired so I just leave it like this now. |

![]() Due June 30, 2009 at 10pm PST (GMT-8) July: Adela Clark (female) is very much the Star Student. She was voted President of the Student Council by her peers and since then has organized amazing activities and events for her fellow students and their families to attend. The most notable event being the Pleasantville High Carnival she organized along with the PTA this past spring. August: Evelyn Lee (female) has been named August's Star Student for her outstanding abilities in the field of gymnastics. Pleasantville High's PTA is proud to have a student who they believe is well on her way to the Olympics! Evelyn began gymnastics when she was only four years old, and since then has won many competitions and has received many awards for her exceptional skills. September: Joshua Palmer (male) is the captain of the Pleasantville High varsity football team. As a leader on and off the field he has inspired his teammates to work towards victory in the championships! Joshua works hard at football but never lets his grades slide. It is our pleasure to name him September's Star Student! Along with each of the three photos, please provide a short description. |

Round One: Judge 1 1. aba23- Representation of Student- 10 Pictures- 7 Adherence to Rules- 5 Total- 22 You did a great job of representing each student. I would like to see some more creative posing. Great job overall! 2. happyasabunny- Representation of Student- 10 Pictures- 8 Adherence to Rules- 5 Total- 23 I love your poses and the fact that your pictures are close up to the student. I especially love the last shot of Becky, the colors are so vibrant and she really looks like an outgoing person. Great job! 3. bb4daddy123- Representation of Student- 9 Pictures- 6 Adherence to Rules- 5 Total- 20 You have very appealing backgrounds and settings! I think your shots could improve if you get a bit closer in on the students. Good job overall. 4. Meeka- Representation of Student- 10 Pictures- 10 Adherence to Rules- 5 Total- 25 Outstanding job! The settings are perfect, everything about the pictures portrays the students beautifully. I LOVE the first picture of Abby playing fetch, the dog is too cute. 5. clw8- Representation of Student- 10 Pictures- 10 Adherence to Rules- 5 Total- 25 Your pictures are lovely! I really like the poses, especially the last one…you can really tell Becky is a bit of a drama queen. 6. xemptybrkneyesx- Representation of Student- 9 Pictures- 8 Adherence to Rules- 5 Total- 22 I love your shot of Abby with the large variety of animals, I think it captures her personality very well. If you could zoom in a bit more on the students I believe it would create more interesting pictures. Good job overall! Judge 2 1. Aba23 Representation of Student: 7 Picture: 7 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 19 2. Happyasabunny Representation of Student: 8 Picture: 8 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 21 3. Nice job! 2. happyasabunny Representation of Student: 8 Pictures: 9 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 22 Loved your photos, but it would be better for you to post the actual photos in thread instead of links. A little more detail/substance would help as well. 3. bb4daddy123 Representation of Student: 7 Pictures: 7 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 19 Again with the links. You can have the photos display in thread and you are always better off doing it that way if you wish to really impress the judges. Fantastic job! 5. clw8 Representation of Student: 9 Pictures: 9 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 23 Good photos though I would like to see a little more detail in them. I also really love the playground in progress you created. Good job! 3. bb4daddy123- Representation of Student- 10 Pictures- 6 Adherence to Rules- 5 Total- 21 I love the settings you created for the first and second pictures, they show off the students very well. I think your group shot does need a bit more pizzazz. You did a good job on this round overall! 4. Good job! 2. happyasabunny Representation of Student: 7 Pictures: 8 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 20 The quality of your photos is outstanding, however, I would really like to see more detail put into your photos. Gorgeous sims you used. Well done! 3. bb4daddy123 Representation of Student: 7 Pictures: 7 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 19 Nice quality photos, but again, they should be largert and not done in links if possible. More detail, again, would help. I did enjoy your group shot of them in class. Good job! 4. meeka Representation of Student: 9 Pictures: 9 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 23 Wonderful, rich photos full of detail! Loved your group shot! Great job! 5. clw8 Representation of Student: 9 Pictures: 9 Adherence to Rules: 5 Total- 23 Very nice photos with good detail. Adela Clark has been working on the High School Carnival since January and she is finally finished. Because of all her hard work with the Carnival and Student Counsel she has been nominated for Star Student Calendar. ![]() Evelyn Lee has been in gymnastics since she was three years old. She has accomplished so much! ![]() Joshua Palmer is one of the best football players that the world has ever seen and he is only in high school. After all the grueling hours practicing football he comes home and does homework. ![]() |

![]() Adela Clark has always been book smart. She cannot remember a time when she hadn’t spent a Friday night with her nose in a textbook, studying for finals. The only thing Adela loves more than reading and studying is being a leader. It comes naturally to her to run the Student Council and aide her class in decisions that they themselves would rather not make. To Adela, speaking to masses comes much more naturally than speaking to boys, especially a certain one she’s had a crush on since the sixth grade. In order to forget about such things, she often gathers in the commons, giving speeches to passersby that hardly notice she is there. Adela’s dedication to her position makes her our pick for July’s Star Student of the Month. ![]() Evelyn Lee’s parents enrolled her in gymnastics when she was only four years old, and she’s been at the top of her class since then. When scouts came to Pleasant view searching for gymnasts with Olympic talent, Evelyn was number one on their list. She is recovering from a recent ankle injury and takes any extra time she has at home to stretch and rehearse for the upcoming Olympic tryouts. Whenever Evelyn feels tired or the pain becomes unbearable, she just envisions herself on that podium with a gold medal around her neck. Her non-wavering dedication to her sport makes her our nominee for August Star Student of the Month. ![]() Joshua Palmer can be simply described as your all American high school Jock. When he’s not out winning football games with his touchdown passes, he’s at the local pizzeria with the team’s cheerleaders living the high life. His life is perfect…at least when viewing it from the outside. Josh spends much time studying in secret fearing retribution from his family for not spending more time working on his throwing or running skills. Since the age of ten his father has pushed him towards sports, and he’s always been satisfied with the fame and attention he gets when walking down the high school halls. That is, before he met his secret crush. She’s taught him that there is much more to life than fame and popularity and Joshua has even begun re-thinking his college choice. He has been offered a coveted full-ride scholarship to Pleasant View State College, but has also received acceptance into much more knowledge based colleges like Simarvard and Simale. Even with his future undecided, his love of the game and thoughtful consideration of his future make him September’s Star Student of the Month. |

July Adela Clark is one of those students who are known and respected by almost everyone on Campus. Especially since she organized the Carnival on Campus. The Carnival included a costum contest and Adela organized for the three top costums a dinner with the schools president in his house. Adela is a dedicated student and takes her responsibility as a member of the student counsil very serious. For the photoshoot I visited her in her office and at the wall you can see the award for excellence and some parts of costumes that were worn by students at the carnival. ![]() August Evelyn Lee has found her balance in life, literally spoken. When she performs her gymanstic routines she has a wonderful feeling for rythm, grace and power. She is a perfectionist, working out every detail and every move. You can see she wants to reach the top, and she knows she has to work hard for it. So it was no wonder that the place were I found her to do the photoshoot was in the gymnastic hall. A quiet, sensitive and graceful young lady, that is Evelyn Lee. Dynamic, strong and dedicated that also is Evelyn Lee. A true star student. ![]() September Another sports talent on Campus is Joshua Palmer. American football is his passion and he already shoot and threw the football when he was a little boy. His three year older brother always played football with their Dad and little Joshua worked hard to keep up with them. Soon the hardwork paid of and with seven years Joshua played for the first time in a Team. Today he is one of the key players in his schoolteam and last year he was the player who had run the most yards with the ball. On the question whether he wants to become a professional, he answered that he was not sure yet. Sports -Psychologist would be an option too. ![]() |

July - Adela Clark
![]() Being the class president is no easy task but Adela always rises to the challenge, nothing is difficult for including organizing the spectacular spring carnival. August - Evelyn Lee ![]() Evelyn loves gymnastics and here she is practising a very difficult on the beams - a full spin whilst maintaining her balance and keeping in time to the music. September - Joshua Palmer ![]() Joshua eats, sleeps and dreams of football. He is very dedicated to the sport. This is one of the many reasons Joshua was made the team captain and has led his team to win many trophies. |
