I really like the game, actually, and I love the opportunities- I'm having trouble, though. My sim's a doctor and I got a career one saying that I needed to read a medical book, but I can't find one at the library or bookstore. :o

Any help, and what good opportunities have you gotten?

When I had a "read a book" opportunity, my sim had it put into his inventory automatically. Bonus -- he got to keep the book when he was done!

When my sim had a "read a book" opportunity in the journalist career, it also appeared automatically in her inventory. Check your sim's personal inventory.

Edit: I could not find a way to fulfill the opportunity to write a biography. Eventually I worked out you can only have one book in progress at a time. If you want to start another book (for an opportunity or other reason) you have to scrap the current book and cannot resume it.

Some opportunities do not have time limits. As I recall the biography one is one with out the time limit so you can finish writing the current book and then do the opportunity instead of scrapping it.

Well, my biography opportunity had a time limit. The subject died and was "no longer available" so the opportunity was removed.

Wait, you can only write biographies about living people?
