So I bought this thing with life happiness points, and it doesn't work. I think I don't understand something about it (the description says that it works, but "not always"?!). But I couldn't find any help or hints about its functioning.

Does anybody know how to make food with it?

P.S. My game is not in English, so maybe this thing is called a little differently. Basically it's a thing that lets you create food by copying it (as the description says), instead of cooking.

Your sim first has to make the meals that you want the replicator to replicate and then you have to click on the meal (I think this is what I saw posted, haven't tried the replicator myself) and choose to have it saved to the replicator. Or it could be that you have to click on the replicator itself first, but anyway, you do have to cook the meal first.

Yes just click the meal you want to be replicated and you will see the option to copy. Your sim will take the meal over to the replicator and do his thing. You can save 3 meals and it will copy 20 each. Word of advice. Before you start replicating make sure your sim is handy enough to upgrade the memory so it works better. Ambrosia is the only meal I know of that cannot be copied
