Lately, when I put a house with a basement on a lot, I often get water in the basement. This never happened to me before the last few expansions. Now it usually happens. I build houses and sometime post them here. I like houses with basements, but don't want to bother with them if they fill with water (nor would people who download my lots want water in the basement!). Does anyone know why this occurs or how to avoid it or how to fix it? |

Different expansions seem to behave differently with regard to this -- but the reason it happens is always the same: your lot is too close to the seawater level. If you move it up a hill, the water will go away. (It has nothing to do with the lot in other words, just with where you place it) |
