Hello all.. Here's my question; I had a family and after I made it I wanted to separate one person from it. I did, and now I can't find him? I have NO idea where he went. Do I have to make him again?

Thanks in advance,

Maxx

Usually when you move out a person, they appear on a temporary clipboard on the left side of the screen in edit town mode. So if you entered the game again they are probably gone. But, it's possible that they are in your sim library. Did you check there?

Hi hi =) When you said you wanted to "Seperate him" How did you go abouts doing it? there is a "Split household" Option from edit town view after you click on a family.... thats probably the easiest way.... but then there is the moving them out straight from live mode

o.O The reason I asked was I had a sim move out from live mode, and I used the "Kick out" version rather than selecting a place for him, so it said it'd move him to some random lot...

T.T After that I never could find him! I went through every lot i could think of and somehow I always missed that one =s but did see him in town occassionaly.... in the end i finally found the lot, but for awhile it had me thinking i'd have to recreate him...

so if you used the "Kick out" option he still is there but it might be hard to find the lot,.... otherwise if you did it from edit town view o.O somehow i'd think you deleted him off the clipboard by mistake, and if thats the case i believe you will have to recreate him, i've deleted people off the clipboard, and they wouldnt send them to the family bin for me without me intentionally doing so...

If you 'kick them out' they are free to do whatever they want. move in with someone else or move out of town completely. If you want to save them, you need to 'split' the household.

You may need to remake that sim, but a copy of that sim may exist in the sim bin. :0)

Busy mashing meshes.

Be careful with multiple uses of the 'Kick out' option.

I 'kicked out' Buck Broke and his two children, I followed the moving car to find the lot they were 'kicked out' to (very good tip!).

Later when Skip was grown up I had Brandi move in (yes I went to the trouble of 'breeding' a Brandi Newbie) then 'kicked out' both of them to start a new life. However when I followed the car they appeared to move to the same address that Buck Broke was living at, at this point Buck Broke and his kids appear to have completely vanished from the game and only appear in the family tree (kinda like Bella in TS2).

So don't 'kickout' more than bunch of people at a time without finding the previously 'kicked out' people and moving them to another lot.

(hope this makes sense)

Thanks for all your replies! I lost my sim! Can't find him anywhere!!! What's funny is that I saw him in Central Park and he was grunting cause he was hungry! I guess I made him homeless .

I guess if you see him again you can always try following them (with the camera)

One of my grown twins got married and she moved out with her new husband and twin sister by using the computer, I think. (trying to remember) My problem, and I'm trying to find answers on my own by searching, is that I cannot play the house they are now in to give my original couple grandkids.

Another good way to try and find them is by making that Sim and only that Sim a friend. Then go into map view and find the yellow has tag that will have your Sim in that house. (you could try with other friends but it might be a while looking in through all the houses). If your Sim was kicked out they might be on a lot with no house.
