Heres my problem, when ever I try to play the sims 2 (Mansion Patch) I get the pop up saying if I want to disable basically all of my downloaded files, because it might cause problems.


I was thinking " well probly cuz I didint download the root of some files (mesh I think)" after a long time of deleting and checking, ive found out that my only remaining (buy mode) stuff are the guns decoration and the PsP, Wii.

My question is... is it possible to have some files be corrupted?


I do know this, if I disable basically everything I can play the game. But that defeats the purpose of the stuff I downloaded.

Also, please update your profile to include all stuff packs and expansion packs you have. This information is often needed when posting help topics.

That message always gets displayed after you install a new expansion and if you have cc . It does not necessarily mean there will be problems, however you should make sure that especially all of your hacks are updated for any new expansions you have installed, like the Mansions and Gardens Stuff Pack.

and about the error, everytime I enable the everything I cannot login to my houses. How is that possible?



I have all the games (and patches).


Ive notice this some files are saying "only for Nightlife", does this mean I can only see this stuff on the nightlife and not on the higher versions (with regards to all patches)

You update the files by going to the website where you downloaded them and checking if there's a new version - you usually only need to do this for hacks and hacked objects (as opposed to clothes, hair, recolours etc).

It sounds like some of your content needs updating, and this is causing the issue with loading lots. Go through this FAQ to find out what needs updating: Game Help:Finding Problem Custom Content^wiki

If the download says it requires Nightlife then it means just that.. you have to have the Nightlife expansion installed in order to use it. You can have later expansions, but you have to have Nightlife. http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...acking_Idiots_2

No offense but I just stated I have all the patches and games. So yeah your reply was abit irrelevant.


When ever I enable the downloaded stuff, I cant enter the houses, but when I disable all of it... I can enter the houses.

why cant I save my game sometimes?

If you'd actually read either of our replies, you'd know that your reply was, in fact, irrelevant. Calli answered your question and I provided you with the information to fix the issue with houses not loading.

Dunno, what happens when you try to save? Is there an error message? Does TS2 crash? Does it just sit there doing nothing for ages?
