Default Modding Disasters - now in technicolor!
Hi All,

I've had this idea for a while - basically to showcase various meshing/modding disasters I know we've all had from time to time, just as a bit of fun.

I'm going to start with this:

:D

Story books are full of fairy tales, of Kings and Queens, and the bluest skies.

While I had some interesting mistakes trying to work out world geometry, I didn't take any screen captures of them. However while trying to figure out data, sometimes I will write code to try and visualize it and see if the result makes sense.

This was one of those cases the result did not make sense. But it was interesting enough I took a capture of it.

The world is meshed too?

Yes, it's not a height-map. You'll also notice there are holes punched wherever lots exist.

My greatest modding disasters are all unscreenshottable, but should be familiar to most: They are blue.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Delphy, now here's a lovely example of the 'naked body' result I sometimes get from recolouring, that I mentioned in your CTU thread. This was as a result of a recolour applied as a stencil, plus a black multiplier. At least it somehow included a discreet little thong! (Maybe that was on the default replacement skin I use) I think the shades and boots really set it off nicely! LOL

As Frank said in Donnie Darko "Why are you wearing the stupid man suit?"

I havent hade the nude body effect but a few have looked like a can of paint exploded.

Why kill two birds with one stone when you can feed two birds with one scone.

My experiment with cloning counters was going great, and I thought I'd hit a home run till I tried adding a dishwasher:

Lol, folks these are great. This will make us begonners feel less embarrased when we come on with these kinds of faults. They're funny right now, but I bet you were all pulling your hair out at the time

I can see progress towards Boob Technology is coming along nicely.

If you look closely, you can see a poor Sim in the center of this massive morph explosion. The black is his pants, the rest is his skin.
