Hi. (: Okay, so I've been playing the Sims 2 for about 2 months now. I have 3 generations of simmies. One of my teens in the second generation got a cold, blah blah, got better. Then, that same person, as an adult, contracted roaches into his home, blah blah, got rid of them. Never got any illness. But some sims that lived with that sim have been making contact with...these. ![]() ...you know, the yellow red green pink thing that looks like vomit. I call them germs. But a Google search on that name brings up exactly nothing. They're so gross..whenever one of my Sims touches something, whether it be a book or a workstation, or even their own baby, GERMS show up. They circle around the person or item briefly and then disappear. ![]() Have you ever seen these...things in your Sim houses? Or am I special? ...or do they formally exist under another name, and I'm just too much of an idiot to connect the dots. Either way, I wish they'd go away. Sooo gross. T_T |

It's pet food - try filling a bowl with pet food and you'll see the same stuff streams from the box into the bowl. Happens occasionally, just showing up randomly from sims' hands. Just a bug. Don't think there's a fix for it. |

Oh, a bug. At least my Sims aren't sick, then! Ahaha. Thanks for clearing up my confusion.

Really? I've never encountered that before. I thought it might be flowers, but you're probably right. |

I had the same thing happen -ages- ago which is why I knew what it was based on the pics. Confused the hell out of me until I was watching closely when my sims poured pet food. Incidentally, a lot of other emitter-based issues cropped up with Pets - occasionally you'll see a pet trailing Zzzs, bubbles, or they'll get a "splash" around their faces. Usually those things (and pet food) go away on their own, but if not, you can force an error/reset the sim using testingcheatsenabled and it'll go away for at least a while. |

Tangental only, but an earlier version of a "wants/fears" tweaking mod I was using apparently was causing one of my Sims to want her girlfriend to learn pet commands. She kept rolling wants like "So-and-so learns to come here." It was kind of kinky. |
