How does this work, exactly? Please don't tell me "It's just like in Sims 2" because I am one of the (apparently) few people in the world who hated Sims 2 but likes Sims 3. Anyway, back on subject, I have no idea how this whole "download a house and use it" thing works. Does it show up on a random lot for me to buy? Do I buy an empty lot and then magically get the option to add a whole house to it? Does the house come down the street on the trailers of three Semi trucks? I really need to know BEFORE trying to use the houses, because my computer only just barely runs the game even without me screwing around, trying to figure out how to do something.

Thanks!

Oh, and if this is somehow double-posted, sorry. I tried to post it once and it didn't show up in the list, so I tried again.

Sorry, but it is as simple as in TS2

You just doubleclick the .sims3pack file. This will open the launcher and it will install automatically.

Basically, you download and install it through the launcher. Then it will show up in the "house" bin in edit town mode, which is the same as the family one where unused ones are stored. You then select the house you want and find an empty lot and place it there. It'll take you into the lot so you can rotate it the right way. That's about it really. You can use it like a normal house after that.

Once it installs, go to "edit town" and you will see it in the houses bin. You can place it on any lot that is empty and large enough to accomodate it.

I had already figured that part out, oddly enough, which is why I was asking about what you do in the game to use the houses. Thanks, though.
