S3PIDemoFE supports external plugins to view and edit resources. Delphy amended a Paint.NET DDS plugin to view the RGBA channels separately. I wrapped that up in a tiny front end. If you install this in C:\Program Files\ViewDDS (i.e. drag the enclosed ViewDDS folder to Program Files), it should "just work" when you click "View" on a DDS resource.
