Do we have a customed door to make specific-sims-only rooms yet? I've searched this place, but was just wondering if any of our Geniuses have released one on one of their more personal sites.

I have the doors and for the most part they work but I have had instances where a sim will walk through the door to get to another area of the house. It also doesn't work for multiple buildings such as the trailers if you have more than one sim. I made 3 married couples and moved them in together. Thinking they might be able to eat together I bought a pizza and put a picnic table outside and a counter. The buying sim went right into their house and no one else could get to it. I even tried to get her to set the pizza on the counter outside and she wouldn't. Also one sim wanted to use the bathroom and instead of going to their house (I had all the doors in the house enabled) they just stood at someone elses door and whined. Anyone have any ideas to make this work better?

I have seen one door you can lock under the downloads section. I have not tried it just yet.

Let me know if you find this or not. I created an apartment building and I found the same issue, they will enter each other's apartments to use the bathroom or wathc TV or use the computer, instead of their own.

I installed the door last night, but it only restricts by single sims or overall household. There are some issues with the door too (sometimes it does not stop them). Overall it works as long as each "room/apartment" has only a single sim dweller (since all the sims are in the same household to be in the same lot).

I found another issue with the "lockable" door... I put it on a second and third floor, and when the sim attempts to use it, it drops them below to the ground outside. I finally uninstalled the door (restored my system before the install).

I think the infrastructure to support this kind of mod (routing understanding locked doors) will be available after the upcoming EP, which does indeed have the concept of locked doors.

Where did you find information about this "upcomming EP"?

Where can I begin? Basically every sims website knows about it and talks about it. As do sites that sell games.
