what exactly does it say? you can usually look up errors like that on google.com and find out what it means and how to fix it.

Maybe you could RE-instal the sims 2.

Yes its a pain, but its better than NOT having it right? :Pimp:

I think this may be a graphix card problem. I don't remember if this was the same one I had or not. My on board graphix that came with my new comp would play the sims2 and a bunch of other games. But would not support body shop nore (just for info) would it run vampire the masquerade bloodlines. But as soon as I went and shelled out for a new GeFORCE 6600 and installed it body shop worked Now if I could just learn how to mesh in this version I would be happy. Oh well can't have everything. - Hope this helps

OR you can go to Google and look up body shop and try to download it from there and see what it does you.

If you have installed Nightlife, this might be helpful to read:

seems like a lot of people have this problem, My The Sims 2 game runs fine... well except for the occational... crash of my computer. but i think thats because i was clicking too much at a time..
anyway, i reinstalled DirectX in its latest version, restarted, no help.
btw, the file manager for me works fine, the sims 2 works... even fly for fun (3d game) works! i dont understand... maybe there was a factory error on a certain amount of disks or something...

The D3DERR_INVALIDCALL is due to having an integrated Intel graphics card. It has a conflict with TS2/Uni but is fixed with NL/OfB. I've heard people getting the downloadable Body Shop that was released before the game works okay for them (I think it's still available on download.com) but when I tried it (as I had this problem myself before NL/OfB) installing the downloadable Body Shop made my game itself stop working, and I had to uninstall Body Shop and the game and reinstall the game for it to work again. Your mileage may vary, but the easiest solution I've found is to just get one of the newer EPs, especially if you were planning on it already. The downloadable Body Shop doesn't have much in it, and doesn't seem to want to take new meshes at all, so it really limits your creation... It also screws up skintones on babies. So... yeah. There ya go.
