As I was playing today my sim had a birthday party. He blew out the candles on his cake, but did not age into a teenager the way he should have. He went for a sim, and when he got out THIS happened:

Has anyone else had this happen? If so, could you tell me how to fix this problem?

I'm thinking about starting a CAW team. If you're interested, PM me.

I know you are concerned about this, but that's actually kind of neat. I would love it if we could choose to have such physical dimorphism.

lol I would love a midget sim, you are lucky (that is if it doesn't break alot of game code). You could try reseting him.

You guys are right... I think I might keep him. This is a rare thing. I'll just have to get around the fact that he's stuck on his last day of childhood.

Guys, it's little people not midgets. Really, midgets is highly offensive to LP.

Yeah this happened to me, I tried to capture a picture but they popped right back up into the average sim height. I was a little disappointed I thought it was neat. So the first hobbit sim was born feel the pride.

i fail to see where the negativity is in the term " midget "...

It's the same as calling disabled people "retarded". Regardless of how we perceive the word, THEY find it offensive. Sisaly is right. You only have to flick on "Little People, Big World" to know they find it offensive.

That happened to one of my sim's kids right before her birthday. I played around with her in CAS, where she was standard sim teen height, and she stayed standard sim teen height for a few seconds before she shrunk back down. It seemed like she had taken on a teen skeleton but still thought she was supposed to be at the children's height, making her look like a little person. She's since grown out of it.

Well my little guy popped back up . he went to school 3 simdays later, and came out as a full grown teen. No more little people in my game right now, but I might try to do it again. I had fun watching him run around, trying to catch his siblings in a game of tag.

Screw them.

I find homophobia and racism offensive, that doesn't stop them from being inappropriate and not apologizing or acknowledging when their own pride-and-joy son says some not so nice things about gays and Mexicans on his myspace account. You only have to flick on LPBW to see Matt Roloff ever concerned that his pride-and-joy son might be queer himself!

Mind you, I don't agree with the term "midget" being used if it's offensive to dwarfs. Just that LPBW is a bad example of, well, everything. Especially nutrition. Have you SEEN the way they EAT?

So let me get this straight. YOU don't like the way someone does something, so to spite them, you do something THEY don't like, even though you're could offend a lot of people in a similar fashion? Isn't that both childish and hypocritical?
I don't watch LPBW, I've only seen bits and pieces of it on ads and I sometimes catch the end before Jon & Kate Plus 8 begins, so true, it could be a bad example, however they're probably the most famous little people around, which is why I used them.

LPBW aside, Sisaly and my point still stands. So, you don't like the way one family that has the syndrome acts. It doesn't make it any less offensive to the hundreds of thousands of other sufferers, who are far more likely to read these boards than TLC celebrities.
Also, they don't appreciate being called dwarfs. I think the negative connotation is obvious in that one - Snow White, anyone?

Really? We're starting a debate over the use of the word "midget"? smh...

Back on point, midget sims always pop up sooner or later, and it is actually a pretty common glitch.

I'd really like having some midget sims around permanently, though. Be kind of cool.

And midget is not a nice thing to say to people but pretty accurate for a child sized teen in the game where dwarf could just as well be a Tolkien/ AD&D dwarf.
Dwarf is pretty accurate as a medical condition, might not be nice to say face to face but the same is true for fat or bald.

Very easy to take PC way to far, I have heard “special children” more and more as a very nasty way to describe someone. Lots of references in it and none of them are nice, so it’s time to change special children with something else.

Yep, that IS childish and hypocritical. If that were the case. But you don't have it straight in the least, since I said I don't agree with the use of the term "midget" and I DON'T USE THE TERM.

MY point is that the LPBW family ARE hypocrites, and I profess the "Screw them" stance. They cannot rightly say "Don't call us MIDGETS!" when their own son has publicly be found to be racist and homophobic, and it isn't hard to tell the family isn't particularly open-minded when you listen to them and read between the lines.

The father worrying sick because his son is wearing tight jeans and straightening his hair? They have a lot to learn about open-mindedness.

"Dwarf" is an acceptable term. They have dwarfism. They call themselves dwarfs. That's what they are.

Any further discussion of LPBW belongs in Off Topic Discussion unless someone is using the glitch to recreate the show in their game.
