Well, I hope moderators won't remove this thread here because I'm really in the need of help, and I'm also quite angry... This is what happens:

Once I bought my copy of TS3 I got 1000 simpoints for free to purchase whatever I wanted in the store. Then I bought and downloaded 2 sets (medieval and steampunk) and they won't install in the game. I'm using the TS3 Launcher by the way. Not only it happens with purchased items, but it also happens with the free neighbourhood. Soooo I feel like I WANT THOSE SETS NAOOOO! But still they won't install. I'm really hoping that somebody comes here and says that I'm stupid because I'm doing a basic thing in a wrong way, and, in that case, I'll be quite happy, thanks

not a debate, maybe the installer monkey here will help you? though you should just be able to double click the things and they'll install.

They won't install - why not? What happens when you try installing them?

Saf, EA insists on using sims3packs, presumably just to annoy people who download them. So the OP would have to extract the files before Monkeying them, at the least.

Okay I've solved it out. Yeah, silly me, the problem was that I didn't have the game patched, now it's ok. Now I have another question though, Whitey, you say that I can install the items from the store with the Monkey? But how, if you can't download the file without the launcher? I'm speeding right away to read all the monkey stuff, let's see if I get out of my sillyness
