Hello,

Could anyone please help me with how to recolour cloned objects.

I cloned a poster from the original game(grape looking like poster with dark blue back ground) using Simpe. Then I tried to make a recolour of it.

But in the game only "cloned poster" shows up and the recolour of it does no show up.

I have no altered the mesh, just the texture.

Do you intend to alter the mesh? If not, why clone it?

There must be an entry in the GMND called TSDesignModeEnabled. The subsets must match the names in the GMDC. Most of the beginning object tutorials cover these steps and have nice pictures.

After you double check the GMND and that all the names match up, if you still can't recolor it, post in the object repair section. Someone will have to look at the package and see if they can find the problem.

edit:

I just found this nifty neat "Making objects recolorable" by Huge Lunatic. It does a great job of directing you thru the trouble shooting when your objects won't recolor.

Lunie is so wonderfully helpful!

>bluetexasbonnie,

Thank you for your quick reply!!

I will try the tutorial and see how it works.

I intend to alter meshes in near future, but for this one, I wanted to change the price (I know there's money cheat but I don't really fancy using it somehow...) and also wanted to make it distinctive in the catalogue with my own illustrations.

Thank you also for letting me know about the objects repair setion
:-D
