Can it be done, and if so, how? I don't have TS3, but my friend does. I made a self-sim for her to use but she couldn't get it to work in TS3. |

...No, you can not use things made with a different game in The Sims 3. |

It certainly would be nice if we could import Sims 2 stuff into Sims 3... Especially those wonderful skins, eyes, and makeup! |

Stuff can't be imported directly, but some kinds of things can be converted, and many have been Including a lot of hairs.

You can't import them, the game won't read ts2 files and will cause "forever loading syndrome" as ts3 will try reading the foreign files over and over and over again. But you can convert the ts2 to ts3 file as Srikandi said. And many did it a lot nowadays. You can read convertion tutorial to do it yourself for your friend. As far as I'm still a noob I will sit back and relax for kind souls to convert ts2 and friendly share in the community.(which so many did it already also). (*wink*) |

No, they must be recreated in TS3 CAS. Pokeylope's answer (post #2) applies to absolutely everything used in both games. |
