DirectX problem under Win7 HELP!! #1 |

Hello! I have a big problem! I have installed The Sims2 with all of Stuff, and all of Expansion. But if I want to run it, says the following error: "Failed to enumerate any DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX9 compatible graphics adapter and have installed the lastest manufacturer provided driver. The application eill now terminate..." This is not the correct forum for game support. Please make sure you always read forum stickies and announcements before making posts. They will let you know the forum rules, as well as other helpful info, like where to post things. That said, that error is usually indicative of a computer problem so I'll leave it here, for now at least. First off, have you patched your base game and another patch for each of the expansions you own? The game does not need to run in compatibility mode but it does need to be patched. Do you play any other games on this computer? Which ones and do you have any problems with them? When you installed Windows 7 did you do a reformat plus reinstall of the full operating system, or did you use an upgrade DVD to go from Vista to Windows 7? Try installing these drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7_w...95.62_whql.html Then restart your computer. |

Sorry for the incorrect place to my post... Can you move it to the correct place? (I readed the rules, ind i thinked understand it.... My english is horrible...) I have patch for the base game, and the expansions too. I run all, and they was sucsessful. This is the list of my patch: -original -Univerity -Nightlife -Open for Business -Pets -Seasons -Bon Voyage -Free time -Apartment Life -FamilyFun I played with it under Vista, it was run correctly I played under Win7 The Sims3, it was run correctly, but I hate it. so, I was uninstall it, and install the old The Sims2... Yes, I have a full format in my PC before I install Win7, I Didn't use upgrade. I try the link, installed the Nvidia driver,restarted, buth the problem isn't fixed... I download the patches, what you said, installed but not run... I'm so embittered... |

I can fix it! I can fix it! I can fix it!!!!!! I don't know how, bit it run... If i run the sims2EP9.exe, say the error. But if I run the Sims2Launcher.exe, it work correct! Thank you for the help!
