I have the base game only, and since my launcher installed the patch 1.7.2 (i think, its updated again since but still not fixed) the options to move in, go steady (or anything beyond) are not appearing at all. I have tried everything i can think of (reinstalled, opened new games taken out all my mods and changed active household in the game) and researched on google and i cant find anyone else who even has the same issue. I dont want to chuck out my games altogether as i am really enjoying them :S plus i am not sure it would fix it.

Has anyone else had this issue and has anyone got any ideas?

just to get the stupid/obvious question cleared up: you DO have Story Progression enabled, right?

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Why would you need story progression enabled too be able to move in a sim etc? I've never had it enabled and I could always go steady with another sim etc. I only ask as I also recently downloaded the newest patch and haven't tried too do any of the above things since doing so :S .

Please, Call Me Lou :D

you know now that you say that I don't have any of those options either and story progression is on, I dont have WA yet but I was wondering why they can't ask to get engaged or anything and yet they are love interests or whatever and it has been many many many sim days.

Sometimes the option doesn't come up unless you've pushed the "context" to a more romantic one. And that can be a bit tricky due to ADHD.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Oh believe me. I've pused the "context" to a more romantic one. They already have a kid together. I can't get mine to marry or date either.

I have the latest patch but I do not have WA, and two of my sims have recently began going steady. I have also seen the option to propose marriage come up.

I just did a completely clean install, as well. No mods, no custom content. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you all, especially with a clean install.

1. The marriage ties in the family trees to married couples are broken, but their relationships still say that they are married.
2. Some sims can't get married/go steady or propose. The couple I am dealing with already have a child another on ...the way. Their relationship bar is to the max, and I have always gotten them to "Extremely irresistable" and the options have never shown up.

I have the exact same problem! I´ve never gotten the option to move in or get married ever. Wohoo and try for a baby works fine, but I want my sims to be able to get married too.(and I´ve tried everything- family/romantic traits on both sims, full mood bars, maxed relationship bar, etc etc).
I reinstalled the game some time ago after some severe game crashes and I havent installed a single thing apart from the two patches that automatically pops up when you´ve recently installed the game.
What am I to do?
