This has been happening for several days now, and only with this ad. But sometimes, when I load the page (I imagine those times that this is the ad it has cycled to bring up), the ad loads on top of everything.

I have to refresh to get a new ad and be able to use anything in the upper left section, including the search box.

Not a major deal, but a bit annoying, if it can be looked into (or if it's something weird on my end that I can fix).

ETA: It seems to only happen if the page loads with the "Ad section" collapsed, and opening it up once it's loaded doesn't help. However if it loads opened up it will be in the right location, but it also won't allow me to collapse it (I try to keep the ads open, but there are a couple seizure-inducing flashy ones that make me collapse it from time to time).

I hate to bump this, but it's still a problem.

I also wanted to add that it also (when the page loads with the ad section open) prevents me about 75% of the time from being able to click on the "Filter downloads" button. It still seems to be only the Legion ad.

A little more info is probably needed:

What browser does this occur in?
Do you get popups on any other sites?
Do you run anti-spyware software?
Does it happen if you use a different browser?

Possible Solutions if its on your end:
- Use an adblocker.
- You could have HOSTS file modifications that result in the loading of incorrect ads
- You could be using an outdated browser (such as IE7 or lower)
- You could have some adware or spyware distributing ads and popups... try running SuperAntiSpyware, AdAware or another free antispyware application

I use Firefox 3.5.

I use adblocker, but have an exception set up for MTS to help in my teensy way. So I generally get no ads. The only ad on MTS this is a problem for is the Legion ad.

I run Antivir antivirus and Ad-Aware antispyware.

I just now tried it in IE8. And it had no problems with any of the other ads, just like in Firefox, but when it got to the Legion ad, problems came up. I could collapse the ad section, but the ad itself didn't collapse, just the page behind it (see the new attachment). That's with the page loading with the ad section open.

I tried for a while, but never managed to get the Legion ad when loading with the ad section collapsed. I'll come back and edit this if I manage to get that to show up. EDIT: I post this and immediately I get it to happen in IE8. And yes, it does the same thing as I showed in the first attachment.

It does it on multiple computers, so I'm doubting it's anything on my end (but anything's possible).

And a clarification/expansion on not being able to click the filter button: it's not being able to click whatever is immediately above the ad. Which pretty much is either the filter button or the expand filter selections link. It won't let me click on either...like a dead space that hovers above the ad. EDIT: But that's only in Firefox, it seems. In IE8, I can click on things, but if it involves expanding/collapsing, it all just happens behind the ad.

Sorry, that's very jumbled and rambly...I hope it makes some sort of sense.

EDIT: heh...I've also attached the screenshot now.

If you use Adblock + could you set it to block just that bad ad?

Not to my knowledge, but I'm about as basic as you get as far as AdBlock Plus users go. Because I have MTS whitelisted, it ignores the fact that ads even exist on a page, so it's difficult to use the handy "block this content" aspect.

It's something I can look into farther, though. Worst case scenario, I guess, is just to deal with it through the end of the month until the movie comes out (ironically, I am 100% sure I DO NOT want to see it now, because of this...an anti-ad?), and hope it doesn't happen with other ads in the future.

This Happens to me also, I use IE8, with no adblocking.
This has happened alot, not just this ad.
I have tried to address this issue before but was told it was just me.

So I just leave the ad window open now (kinda defeats the pupose of the close ad button, but..)

Anyways, just my input, time for bed.

Perhaps remove MTS from the whitelist and then manually allow everything except that ad - I'm sure there is a simple tut somewhere on Google that should explain it.

Yeah, I tried that too...but it's not recognizing it as blockable content for some reason. I'll have to look into it tomorrow.

Try clicking on the ABP sign thingo in your toolbar to open the Firefox console, which will allow you to block anything on the page from there.
