 The Sims of Rainbow Island

 Hi there! I would like some feedback on the population of the island I am working on called Rainbow Island (Name subject to change XD) The town isn't quite ready to be asking for feedback yet but what you should basically know is that it's a fantasy town inhabited by a species which is yet to be named, they come in all different colors (I love you fawkes  ) I plan to have a pretty in depth story but that is a WIP  So to share with you today is the royal family! They live on the highest mountain peak on the island, The family consists of King Kyneb, his sister Ophia, his wife Kyotene and their two children Janiyashi (Jani) and Nanowami (Nano). King Kyneb is a kind adventuresome ruler where his wife on the other hand is a sly flirty goldigger. Their daughter Nano is next in line to the throne her parents wish for her to marry the nobles son however she is in love with the fishermans boy (both unmade yet), Jani is much like his mother, he is arrogant and strong... even if he is none to bright, Both children (Nano especially) love their wild athletic Aunt Ophia

Hmm, if you think of the people like paint.. If a red mother paint dab and a green father paint dab mix together to make paint dab babies.. wouldn't the babies be brown, because of the properties of colors? So maybe rethink the color combinations so that you can realistically produce.. not brown babies. I would go take a look at a color wheel, and only choose two colors that are next to each other, and then the children can be the blend of those. Analogous colors. So maybe blue and red, and get purple babies! |

I love you too! Haha!  Maybe the Island could be called Iris Isle. iris coming from part of the spanish translation of rainbow  Or maybe Isola Segreta, or Secret Island in Italian I think that the species could be called .. I dunno something that could mix words like rainbow and skin or sparkle/shine and skin or sumsuch, like the Shi ' Raene Clan or something. Also, for the people, more exaggerated features, just take every slider and move it away from the centre more. Also, Traelia's idea sounds pretty cool too!! Maybe they can change colours (obvs not actually in game ) based on seasons and thats how they eventually turn back to primary colours ( to avoid brown babies )Hope I helped! |

I was just kinda thinking that green is good and red is bad XD I was going to do that for some sims (The R+B=P thing) but not for everyone..... And it's possible.... for example if a light person and dark person have a baby there is a chance that the baby could be entirely light/dark |

Well yes genetics could be weird about this. But if you're going on the terms of colors, then just think of paint! :D |

@ Fawkes I don't want them TOO hideously ugly but I'll try to exaggerate them more, Considering this is the royal family it should also be the most beautiful I like that Italian name! Cool idea! You got some good idea going, thanks! Edit: Oh and Fawkes one other thing, When I was breeding the 2 for some reason the babies skin was always green? I'm not sure if Kyotene has the EA red or one of yours but however many times I tried they would not make a red baby

Your welcome! I like it too, technically its out of a book, but I thought it could fit Well maybe you could have some solid genetics, like they all have tiny noses of or large eyes or something!

Hmm, you may have to just go and blend the colors yourself, but make it so there's a mixture of both, but not each mixture is the same as the other child's. As if (again with paint) you ran out of your mixture and went to re-mix it and suddenly you had a different color, but it was still close to the first (child's) color. |

I would like to install my world for testing but I have the stupid launcher issue that says it's already installed, I found some helpful advice on what to do here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=389595 However how do you extract the .package from the S3P?? That would be very helpful to me.... Thanks

Hey Rob. I like Nanowami and Ophia the best. About Genetics, most of my sims keep on gettig close to the fathers skintone, maybe it's that?

TO get the S3P into a .package (not sure it will work with worlds) after youve installd it should be the most recent file in Documents/ElectronicArts/The Sims3/DC backup |

Alright I'm back with some new sims, This time: The Shaman! The shaman (Mystelle) acts as the spiritual leader of the island, she is a bit nuts and she's also a bit strict, She lives with her up tight, workaholic, no nonsense daughter Engelina
