Please someone help me with this! I had to reinstall the game a while back and made back up for everything I needed but forgot about the changes I made with the stairs and the trees.
I can't remember how it's done just that you can make them visible all the time. I just hate it when they vanish when you get close.

Ctrl + Shift + C
and type in

fadeObjects off

It's just that I know there's a way to make it permanent in the game so that I don't need to type that in everytime I enter the game. If no one know's how, then I'll use the "cheat" instead I guess.

Edit: I think you're suposed to change the 0 here: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSData\Res\UserData\Cameras (Live Camera) and the text: "setparam objectFadeAllObjects 0" to a higher number but I'm not sure. Anyone know?

I don't know about that, but if you don't want to have to type in the cheat every time you fire up the game, you could make yourself a userstartup.cheat file.

OK, the cheat that FaithKlovesmusic wrote doesn't work so any other suggestions?
Just a question to FaithKlovesmusic; did you just make that one up out of the blue or something? Not very nice in my opinion.

backup the original Camera file before editing, but yes. You open it in NotePad and change the text, then save it. Gunmod's camera mod is an edited set of camera files. (There is a version with No clipping if you want to just get that...)

Just because the cheat doesn't work for you doesn't mean that the cheat was made up.
